We had the AYCE Grouper fingers first order was warm not hot. Fries was warm. Second order of fish was super hot tasted great but came with 2 pieces. I guess it was an ok amount but would have been nice to have atleast 4. Maybe bring two to a young kid. Also had the shrimp parmagina pat’s was ok but shrimp was super tough. Had the broiled grouper and it was perfect. Had the country fried steak. It was average just the normal processed steak you get at most places. My hopes was going to this small family restaurant it was a real piece of steak. This was on the mushy side but flavor was fine. Like I said not bad just average. We had what they called the beef vegetable and got two bowls. But there was clearly no beef in it at all. Flavor of the broth was really good but it was definitely stuffed with vegetables and that fine for some but I’m not a big veggie guy was going for some of the beef. Over all tasted good just liked a key ingredient “beef”. The bread was very yeasty not that great. It didn’t make it out till just before our meal came out. Our waitress was very sweet and kind just didn’t have the attentive talent needed to be a sever or hasn’t learned it yet. But very very nice. Over all if I was passing through I would stop again just try something different maybe. The atmosphere was very homie and welcoming. It would be nice to see them wash the outside and the sign is moldy looking. Be more inviting for curbside appeal.

I would have liked to have seen this place in the 40’s, as I’m guessing it’s as old as me!
I had checked it out on GMaps before coming and saw the salad bar and Cuban. I had the Cuban and Ruby had the Reuben. Both came with fries. Declined the offered soup as split pea is a no-go for us. The sandwiches were good. Ruby said the dinner roll was delicious. The refrigerated dessert case beckoned Ruby, and we shared a piece of coconut cake. I didn’t get the waitresses’ name, and it wasn’t on the bill, but she was friendly and efficient.
This place is probably popular with the locals.

The all you can eat fish and chips was such a deal. The grouper was flakey, fresh out of the fryer. The salad bar was okay. Our server was friendly and efficient. The negative star is because on the way out, a medium sized roach ran by the table, and the view of the kitchen showed the dinner rolls were sitting out on counter next to the microwave— which explained the dinner roll having a hard portion on it.

Came here after work on a Tuesday evening. I ordered fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. It was good. My main entree I ordered was a stuffed grouper with crab meat and it was delicious. My other half ordered fried clam strips and no complaints on that end either. Our meal came with hot fresh rolls and the soup and salad bar. Always enjoyed coming here to eat. Oh and I also had a side of spaghetti because that did come with my meal. Plenty to eat here for sure.

I came in at the end of the night I had a great meal I did kind of get forgotten about however for a few minutes that would have made my meal a lot quicker but eventually a waitress came over and took my order and tried to make it up to me but I can’t complain at all about the food honestly the food was a little confusing like not everything goes with everything else there’s a weird variety of foods there I did ask them if they had Gyros and she didn’t say they had them but they’re not on the menu because it seemed to me that on the salad bar you had everything to make a pretty decent Greek salad and I had a feeling there may be some Greek ownership of the Nicholas Family Restaurant I’m just taking a guess here there’s a lot of Olives so you know and they do a lot of Italian and Greek food and those are basically in a sense I’ll kind of based on Greek food anyway I was torn between eating this beautiful grouper and they also had some wonderful veal options and I ended up settling on the fish but I definitely before I leave town we’ll have to try it again it’s a wonderfully interesting place

Family run restaurant with nice Ambience. The service is warm and friendly specially the server “Mia” The price is very affordable for a quality home cooked meal. We spent double the amount for sea food in Orlando for lunch. Driving from Orlando on Highway 17 we came across this quaint little place. Don’t miss it.

I went for lunch. There was a full salad bar, however I chose to get soup and salad from the menu instead. It was delicious! They forgot my soup. I did not complain. They were extremely busy. It was rush lunch hour. Not much of a wait. The salad was so generous that I was not able to finish it all. The waitress, and everyone there was super friendly. I will travel the distance to dine here again and again. I will ask for dressing on the side instead. It was a bit much for me.

Changes made since previous visits before hurricanes . Still great food. Their keylime pie was homemade and out of this world.

Tonight was the first time I’ve gone here. We had a fairly large group (about 30 people), and the staff was amazing. The salad bar was great, lots of choices. Soup was also included w/ the dinners. Even though we had such a large group, everyone pretty much got their food at just about the same time, it was tasty. Alot of us left w/ our leftovers, and I got a sweet tea to go as well. It is also very pretty. Thank you to the staff for my son and daughter-in-laws wedding rehearsal dinner absolutely wonderful.
