Wow what an amazing restaurant! Lucky to have international culinary in Port Elgin. If your craving memories of travelling our simple tired of eating burger and fries highly suggest trying the food at Saffron. Huge portions, everything homemade and fresh. Highly recommend! And Jen the owner is amazing!

When I am in the Port Elgin area, our go to is Saffrons and it never disappoints! Food is so flavourful. We always split a Cuban wrap and the pad Thai, so good! I always call ahead to make sure we can get a table or a timeslot for pick up. Recently I found out they have been doing breakfast on Sundays, you definitely need a reservation. Very busy. Breakfast menu was different, I had the butter chicken eggs Benedict. It was fantastic. Cute little restaurant. Great service.

I’m not sure you can get a better meal in town, let alone the breakfast. It is simply unmatched in this area. & the owner… Just a freaking peach of a human Finally saved room to try a cup of their Chai & it officially is my new go to for a Port Elgin take out beverage! So much love for this place & the mandatory post meal wander of the beach.

The food at this place is amazing, which is really impressive considering how many different cuisines they have. This is the type of restaurant that I feel like can win awards. Jenn was super passionate and helpful as she described the dishes to us. The world would be a better place if everyone loved their job as much as Jenn seems to. There also plenty of veggie/vegan options which I greatly appreciate as a vegetarian. We came here as first-time tourists but I really hope I get to come back here someday!

Caribbean Jerk Chicken Wrap was awesome!
Peas and rice had some heat more than the wrap but decent flavour with the spices. Also had dessert Orange Pistachio & Almond Cake this was freshly made and tasty.
I would easily recommend this restaurant.
I had mine take out maybe next time eat inside.

Hands down one of the best food experiences I have ever had in Canada.
The owner was really knowledgeable and helped us order four different dishes (two to have over there and two to go). They all were really amazing, and every single bite took me back to my grandma’s where I had the most delicious home-made food in my entire life.
Customer service, food variety, portions and atmosphere over there were also great.

We enjoyed Friday dinner at Saffron. One of the owners Jen suggested the curried Mung bean soup and peanut stew. Both were excellent choices. Good portions, good service, great tasting food. The bread is baked in house and is terrific.
We came back to Port Elgin for a quiet and safe New Years celebration during the pandemic.

One of the owners was very friendly and welcoming. The patio in the back was beautiful shady, perfect for hot summer days! We got the West African Peanut Stew and the Trinidadian Doubles. The stew was phenomenal and a huge portion! The doubles were also huge and had authentic Caribbean flavours! I would definitely recommend.
