My husband and I stopped in for some barbecue and wanted leftovers to take home to the kids. We ordered the family deal. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, the barbecue was amazing and all the sauces are gluten-free so that was a huge bonus! Everything was delicious and we will be back!

We travel for a hour and 20 minutes to get there and was so disappointed . We went to order our food first I try to order the burn ends switch is the special for Friday and Saturday and got told my best time to get them would be on Friday . So they wear out of the special at 5:30 in the evening and also out of French fries and coleslaw. I’am sorry to say but this was not the best BBQ. We got the pull pork and the brisket which you pay extra for. The meat we order was dry and no flavor. It was disappointing. The restaurants over all was very clean and the staff was friendly.

The restaurant is a good one with two sections to sit in. It has rustic looking metal chairs and wooden tables. It reminds me of Famous Dave’s in some ways. I had the pulled pork sandwhich was good but I had to add their bbq sauce to add more moisture. I thought the Mac n Cheese side was just OK. The interesting side was the coleslaw. It happen Italian bread like taste. When asked what seasoning was thrown in a staff member said thyme. It wasn’t bad at all but if you order it you may find a different taste than you expect. My meal cost about $20 just a little higher than I’d like as not even a meal at Meat in Old Town is that high. I’d also like tonsee the divot in the parking pavement out front fixed and toppers on the tables outside as some are in direct sunlight. I love to beat outside when I can. Overall, I give a four. Find a way to lock in the moisture and salty pork flavor without too much dryness or too much juice find the perfect medium and i know it will be even better than it is now.

We did take-out this time but the waiting area was pleasant as could be. Just watching the folks behind the counter was entertaining. Food was excellent and have had it several times. My wife and I also appreciate the great things that Saddleback does for the community! Quality place!!

Food: The pulled chicken sandwich with bake beans and corncake sides was delicious. Generous portions and flavorful.

Service: Excellent! My order arrived in less than 10 minutes, and the staff was friendly and attentive.

Atmosphere: Cozy and rustic ambiance.

We drove from Ann Arbor to eat here on a Monday night during the covid-19. We had an amazing experience. We were greeted by Crash, who was very hospitable and explained the menu and any questions we had thoroughly. He told us his favorite meal and recommended the full slab of ribs. I got the full slab of ribs and my wife, Rachel, got the beef brisket. Both came with a small corn cake that was really good. I got a side of the sweet potato mash and Rachel got the potato salad. The ribs were huge, much larger than normal. They also have a beef rib for the price of a full slab of regular ribs. It’s a single beef rib with about a pound of meat… Well be trying that next time. Overall the meal was great and experience was awesome! Thanks!

Do not buy their burnt ends. I received what was essentially dried out pulled pork. Texture was like eating wet toothpicks.

Portion sizes for the price should be double what I was given. I will not be coming back. Scammers.

First time to visit this place amd the brisket was good. I got a brisket burger sandwich with fries and the meat was tasty. The fries were well seasoned but abit oily aand the coleslaw was not bad. Overall it is worth trying their brisket as the meat was good.

Some of the absolute worst barbeque I’ve ever experienced we received yesterday. The chicken was overcooked. The pulled pork was so cooked it seemed fiberous. Even when I was first learning to bbq I couldn’t manage to produce such a terrible product.

The beef rib was far and away the star of the show! Brisket and pork ribs weren’t exactly far behind either. Thanks much to Crash for a job well done in the kitchen and Yasmeen for such wonderful service. The single frustration was having scheduled this year’s Man Meal far in advance only to have some menu items run out before we could even try them. Would definitely recommend…
