Traveling Cosmos and Tacos
Had lunch here today with a friend while we were in the area. I ordered chimichangas my friend ordered chicken tacos. We both loved our food. My chimichangas was loaded with chicken topped with sour cream. The yellow rice was just plain yellow rice with peas, honestly could’ve used a little more flavoring, so I added some of the salsa to the rice. The sangria is homemade so it was good..

Well they say they make thier own tortillas for BirriaQuesaddillas and Huaraches I got it with carnitas, the meat was bland carnitasdo not includejuicy skin or nothing its jst plain shredded chunks of meat . Came here for that. Flavor I suppose they are trying to bland it out for the audience in the area ?idk I felt it needed it to be tastier . It’s average its kinda like going to like AmericanBased Latin food. Not Mexican completely but average food for the cravings . I prefer larger Huaraches but they also well very attentive when you arrive for you to hurry and order. However once your served you will not get a refill although they supposedly give you ONE 1 ONE free refill no they didn’t I got one small cup of orange soda mainly ice and asked previously for water afraid I’d be dehydrating and I was . I didn’t finish my food because I get thirsty and I had nothing refilled not even my water cup is why service not bueno the sauce and chips not homemade sauce probably some caned tomato sauce and chips stale hardened from these not being homemade chips like in real Mexican restaurants. Agreed on this taking care of cravings sauce for either dish were not spicy kinda bland but I do believe it’s to cater to audience in area thst may possibly appreciate the not soo seasoned up spiced up food and it works great for the area. I will most likely return becuase it is not bad food I didn’t get toilet sick food is average and satisfied the craving thank you. I hope next time I do get refill of my drink at least. Also cups for drinks I’d wish could be bigger I’m a thirsty person I’ll probably bring my jug of water with me next time becuase I was dehydrating

The sangria and fried ice cream was great!! So is the fajitas. We have had both steak and shrimp fajitas and both are absolutely delicious. I also love the street tacos. Everything has always been extremely delicious and well prepared. The restaurant is extremely clean and nice. The staff you’re always seems friendly welcoming.

I came here for lunch with a buddy about 15 minutes after it opened. The gentleman sat us at the bar and promptly took our drink order. We got a bay breeze and spicy margarita. I was hoping for a mule bit they were out of ginger beer, no big deal, though. They brought out chips and dip to start, I thought it was a bit spicy for my tasting, but I also am not a fan of spicy things, but I still found it very flavorful and good. We got quasadillas, 1 was the lunch special, and one was a normal loaded one. Both were very well made and a TON of food. The special came with rice and beans, which tasted great. Overall, for my first time here, I liked it and look forward to coming back and trying for things. The place was very cool inside, I love all the cultural artwork and murals. Very fun place to go for a quick lunch or a relaxing, loose dinner. Service was great

I absolutely love this place and go often but was not that thrilled with my dinner. I had the bistec à la Mexicana, asked for medium it was well-done and every single piece of steak had grizzle. Please for the love of all that is holy, cut the nasty parts off the steak before you grill it.

Looks like and basically is a typical Mexican place. But the food was the best I’ve had in a while. I don’t usually do beans I ate all of there’s the guac has lots of tomato n spices not just avocado like most other places. They also have tamales on the menu. Most of the places by me have them as a special once n a while. Drinks are a tiny bit strong but good. Will go again.

I was floored with how good this was. Being from Texas I wasn’t expecting much as I have tried SO MANY different Mexican restaurants in the northeast and few have met my expectations . Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars for food was because they don’t offer breakfast and locally made tortillas. I had the enchiladas rancheras with chicken and they were seasoned just right. I asked for a hotter salsa and they delivered.
Pro-tip: if they don’t have a variety of salsas they likely won’t be that great. (And I know I’m asking the nearly impossible but if they offered locally made flour and corn tortillas this place would be unbeatable).
We’ll definitely be back when in the area to try the rest of their menu and their bar selections.

I’ve been now a dozen times. Always a recommendation for guests. Drinks are generous. Staff is personable and friendly. Atmosphere is fun. Food is dependably tasty though not much different than other Mexican restaurant. If you are in the mood for Mexican comfort food and a good drink, here’s your place!

(Translated by Google) I had a terrible experience at El Sabroso in Pine Bush, NY. As a vegetarian, I made it very clear to the waiter several times that I didn’t want any meat, yet he kept insisting I order a side of it. My corn tamales arrived covered in red sauce and cheese despite my request for plain ones. When I got home, I realized they had just washed and re-served the same tamales I sent back. This is unacceptable customer service — I would not recommend this restaurant, especially for vegetarians. I had a very bad experience at El Sabroso in Pine Bush, NY.
