I was in town for the evening and I called a buddy of mine, to see where I can get some Peruvian food. He referred me this restaurant. I called few times till I got someone, she mentioned that I could not do take out, not sure why? They still had at least 30 min or so before they close. I decided to drive there and thank God she sat me at the bar. Which I was fine, I was just glad I was in lol

Our server Dana was amazing!!! The food was excellent, the drinks too. Highly recommend the lomo saltado with chaufa rice. Also for apps we tried the trilogy ceviche it’s a lot more than we thought but wow so tasty. Will definitely be back soon.

Perfect in every way. Delicious food I’ve never tried, it was an experience of flavors. The dinner plate presentation reminds me of a Michelin star restaurant. Service was wonderful and the restaurant is clean and beautifully decorated. We can’t wait to come back to try other dishes. A gem in Orange Park.

I’ve come here two times now and it has been AH-MAZING!! I ordered pollo chaufa and bang bang shrimp and it tastes fire both times. Perfectly cooked and seasoned to the Gawds!!! Must try. Their ceviche is Devine as well.

Sabor Mix Ceviche & Grill Orange Park – Disappointing Experience
Terrible service from the cook/owner. I went with my family for lunch after church, and of course, we were very hungry. We ordered our food and started eating. My mother-in-law had ordered steak with fries and began to eat the steak, commenting that it tasted bitter because some parts were burnt, probably from the charcoal. We called the waitress over and explained the situation. She very kindly took the plate and said she would talk to the cook. The cook came to our table and said he didn’t understand what the problem was. I started to explain, and he said it was from the charcoal. I explained that even so, he could replace it, and I would pay for it. He then started saying that meat is like that everywhere, to which I replied that I had eaten at other restaurants, including Sabor Mix on Beach Blvd, and had never received meat like that. He then started telling me that he had worked for large corporations and even asked if I had been to Alexander’s restaurant, which I said I had. He then told me that next time, if I’m going to complain about something, the plate has to be untouched. I replied that because we were hungry, we had eaten some plantains and potatoes, and that there wouldn’t be a next time because I wouldn’t be coming back. He continued arguing, not caring that other customers were present. I told him that if I kept quiet, he should too, and that he should bring me another steak and I would pay for it. The cook left, and in less than a minute, one of the waitresses came with the bill, practically kicking me out of the restaurant. So, if this man claims to have worked for corporations or good restaurants, why didn’t he stay at those places? Maybe he treated customers badly, and that’s why he was fired. And to top it all off, I have a niece who works at Alexander’s restaurant, and she told me that if this had happened there, they would have replaced the steak for me.

My family had heard of this opening up very recently, and wished to try. Was unaware there are some other locations, but this location is much closer for us. It is Peruvian Inspired, and sounded interesting, and when arrived, not too difficult to find parking… Our hostess was amazing, she was very friendly, helpful explaining menu if needed, and checked with us pretty often if we were doing well and needed anything (as well as assisting other tables)! The menu was very extensive, with something for just about everyone! Most dishes seem to be healthy, but would certainly look forward to trying more dishes! The appetizers, and meal itself tasted fantastic, and portions were excellent (very filling). Some menu items vary in price ($10 – $40 approximately), however, the quality of food (mostly organic or natural), how well food was prepared, and portions, I feel is worth a visit! The atmosphere is very nice and relaxing or welcoming. Whether coming for drinks and appetizers, or quality food and dessert, would highly recommend a visit!

This place is absolutely insane in the best way possible. We got the ceviche trio and every single one was incredible. Our server was extremely welcoming & did a great job explaining what everything was since we were unfamiliar. The carne Asada was really flavorful. The lomo dish we got was SO good, we can’t wait to come back again!

As always, I’m back with another helpful review. I’m Peruvian, and Iykyk, we are very judgmental about our food. Well, be sure that came in with the thought of finding similar food as I do in Tampa. Was I wrong? YES! This is least expensive ticket I’ve paid to travel to Peru! Because the food tastes just like home!! The names of the ceviches def made me feel like home as well . The service was amazing! The food was not the quick in an out, but just the right amount of time to know that you are getting your food made fresh! So not that 5min reheat special! It took about 20 min just about to get my ceviche. The picarones, about same time and the girl apologized as she told me the delay was because they made them fresh. No complain here!! I love this place! Thank you very much for making dream that I was in Peru while I was eating! Higly suggested!
