The food was enjoyable overall, and the pupusas were decent. However, I was disappointed by the lack of to-go options for the curtido and red salsa when we asked to take home our leftovers. It would have been helpful to have even small containers available so we could package some ourselves. This small but important detail impacted the overall experience and ultimately influenced our decision to stick with the El Salvador bakery on Riverside Parkway for future visits. Hopefully, it’s something the restaurant can consider improving.

Sabor Latino in Lawrenceville is an absolute gem! Legit it’s my new favorite spot. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a clean, cozy, and super cute “photo op” atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming—it’s like being embraced by your long lost friends!

Obviously I’m still making my way through their menu but I started with their “zero calorie combo” which is hilariously named. It was such a good variety and you could try all the things. I paired it with their homemade horchata and man that’s my new favorite drink. Since my first visit, I’ve gone back several more times and had several different kinds of pupusas, all of them were delicious. I’ve had their horchata every time and I even bought the horchata mix to see if I could make it at home but nope, nothing beats their home made horchata!

They also have amazing desserts. I’ve had a few kinds but my favorite is their guava pastry that is so flaky and delicious with some coffee!! Hands down my favorite guava pastry.

I’ve been to other Salvadoran places around here because I wanted to compare but I can’t go anywhere else now because I feel like I’m missing out on the best when I don’t come here. It’s a cute little spot, with delicious food, super nice people, and just overall amazing. I want to try their breakfast next because the pictures all look so good! 10/10 recommend, and make sure you don’t miss out on their horchata too!!

This place is great! My friend didn’t want to make me pupusas, but she strongly recommend this place, I’m glad she did!
As soon as I walked in, rice pudding, had to try. Not to sweet, which I like, they keep it in the fridge, very refreshing and “cinnamony”
The pupusas are phenomenal, served with pupusas salsa and curtido, cabbage slaw that tastes almost identical to the Eastern European pickled cabbage.
I decided to have the soup, it was like treasure hunt for soup lovers filled with veggies, I was extremely pleased to find a plantain.
I will definitely go back.

Let me say first that Inwas directed months place while doing Door Dash. It caught my interest, so I took a door dash break and came for a visit. Not only was the putaca great, but the warm and friendliness of the customer service and atmosphere was superb. I have now been back to dine 3 times in 1 week!! TodaybI had steak and pork putaco, and the ribs with rice and beans. It was extremely tasty, and the strak was cooked exactly as I requested.

I will be back again to try other items on the menu!! Oh and I forgot to mention that this restaurant’s heard department score is 100 – A !!!

Update: I don’t have to write you all a full review just like you all chose to charge me for TAP water. I won’t be the first to give you 1 star just like those before me have all ready done so…it’s my review not yours.I ordered food to go so there was no resolution on the spot, fries were not cooked all the way and burger taste like something I could’ve made at home as an American. $30 donation for you all basically and no benefit to me. Could’ve went many other places and got better quality than this, first time experience and last.

This Salvadorian restaurant is a must try!! We barely discovered it and their pupusas are SOO good and authentic!! We got revuelta, frijoles con queso, and one of chicharron. Pupusas were around $3.25+ depending what you get. We also got platanos, and they were good as well. We also got a hotdog, but I will be trying their pan con pollo next. They have aguas de mango, Salvadorian horchata, guava, and one other kind. Would recommend!

To say we were in awe is kinda an understatement. Sabor Latino is 100% our new favorite spot! My husband is Salvadoran and it’s hard to find food that “hits like home” but this place DOES we ordered several different types of pupusas as well as the carne asada tacos and they were amazing. Easy 10/10. The restaurant has a cute & cozy design inside & the staff was super friendly.
