The Durham Sabor location has the friendliest people. Some of them have been here since the store opened and they are so nice!! Also, when you add a half avocado onto your order for $2.50 (which is the cheapest you might pay for ONLY a few avocado slices at most restaurants), you actually get a half avocado, and it’s always perfectly ripe. I rarely leave reviews without someone asking me to, but this place is worth the praise. The food is always fresh, the staff friendly, and, if you want to stay and eat there, it’s never quiet nor loud; it’s always filled with the buzz of happy conversations in the background. Sabor is one of the few places that is consistent with affordable, fresh food and happy vibes.

Great spot!
Very good atmosphere, very cleanly and well maintained. Had a tasty burrito and dessert empanada. The empanada was guava and pineapple and was made with actual fruit not just some fruit paste filling.
Best of all was the service! Extremely friendly and welcoming.

First visit. Very clean restaurant. Staff are super friendly, helpful, and attentive. I had a vegetarian taco salad, which was delicious. There’s a salsa bar with six types of salsa to heat up whatever you order. Iced tea was fresh brewed perfectly.

Had a short stay nearby and was looking for something to eat other chicken and biscuits so I took a chance and tried this place. Everything was good, the service, food and decor were delightful. I’m so happy I stopped in, I will be going there again the next time I’m in town.

Walking in, you immediately notice the bright colors and upbeat vibe—it just feels welcoming. The atmosphere really sets the tone for the food. Everything on the menu has that authentic street-food flair, and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. The tacos are packed with flavor, the bowls are hearty without being overwhelming, and the salsas have just the right amount of kick. Every bite tastes thoughtfully made and full of quality.
So if your looking for a great place to eat out Sabor is the place to go

Sabor Latin is such a gem! The tacos are absolutely delicious fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. What really stood out though was the customer service. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, especially Melvin and Carolina. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and made us feel genuinely appreciated as customers. Great food, great vibes, and amazing service. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this place!

I LOVE this place, my fiancé and I have become regulars, coming here every Tuesday for taco date night 🙂 The atmosphere is so cozy and friendly that you wanna stay even after you finish your food. The staff is delightful, and they get you your food really quick! Their salsa bar is awesome, you get to choose from multiple different salsas for free! We have tried almost everything on the menu, and you cannot go wrong with any of it. The churros are my favorite dessert, while the chimi shrimp taco is my favorite taco to order. Their ingredients are always so fresh and flavorful, even at the end of the night! We even recently moved 30 minutes away and still make the time to come here every Tuesday because we love the food and the vibe so much.

I recently spent a week in San Jose surviving mostly on street food there and was really craving some asada fries, so I decided to give theirs a shot while I was waiting on a vehicle inspection nearby. They were decent, but for the price and portion size, it’s just not remotely close to legit street food. Usually from a taco truck you get almost triple the food, and the price is about the same. It’s usually less of a wait as well somehow. Potatoes are dirt cheap, so even just padding this popular fast dish with an extra handful of fries would cost so little and probably lead to more return customers.
All that said, I didn’t have high expectations as this seems to be a more commercialized fast casual place. The salsa bar is cool, though the habanero sauce seemed to have no heat to it. The menu looks diverse and I’m certain everything is decent, but I will just seek out food trucks in the future for a more satisfying bowl. I don’t understand the hype from a lot of the reviews, I think more folks need to try their local hole-in-the-wall joints and taco trucks!
Positives:
Very friendly staff
Salsa bar
Plenty of protein choices, pastor is not an up-charge
One of the only places in this strip mall that stays open and doesn’t close between lunch and dinner
Negatives:
Price for the amount of food is not great
If you’re hungry, you may want a side, and if you get a soda, now you’re spending over $20
I had a fairly long wait for a really simple dish, it was not busy

Stopped by Sabor Latin Street Grill for a quick snack and was pleasantly surprised! The place is very clean, and the service was friendly and efficient. We ordered empanadas—both chorizo and chicken—and they were excellent. Big, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The sauce that came with them added a great kick and tied everything together. We also tried the churros, which were warm, crispy, and a great way to finish off the snack. Overall, a great experience. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their menu!
