I recently visited Sabino’s Coffee Shop, and it quickly became my favorite spot! The coffee is exceptional—each cup is rich and perfectly brewed. I especially loved their Matcha Latte and Americano.

The customer service is outstanding; the baristas are friendly and genuinely care about your experience. The cozy ambiance makes it a perfect place to relax or work.

Big difference coming to this family owned coffee shop vs. a corporate chain coffee shop. Thank you Sabinos – officially my favorite coffee shop! ☕️ ♥️

Local Spotlight: Sabino’s Cafe in San Leandro

If you’re looking for a friendly, locally owned spot to grab a great cup of coffee in San Leandro, do yourself a favor and skip the international coffee monster down the street. Head to Sabino’s Cafe, a woman-owned gem run by the wonderful Maria and Nicky, who have built something truly special for the neighborhood.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, welcoming, and personal. Maria and Nicky are always ready with a smile, a recommendation, or a quick chat about what’s new. It’s the kind of cafe that reminds you why supporting small businesses matters — your dollars stay in the community, and you get a better experience because of it.

The coffee at Sabino’s is top-notch: rich, flavorful, and roasted with care. They even sell fresh beans to take home, which has become part of my weekly routine. It’s hard to beat the smell of freshly ground beans in the morning, especially when you know exactly where they came from.

For breakfast, their gluten-free bagel with egg and cheese has become my go-to. It’s quick, satisfying, and actually delicious — not always an easy feat for gluten-free options. If you’re in the mood for something sweeter, their banana bread is legendary. Trust me: get a slice, heat it up, and thank me later.

What really makes Sabino’s stand out is the combination of quality and community. It feels like a little hub for locals: people reading, catching up, grabbing coffee before work, or just taking a moment to slow down. In a world of drive-throughs and corporate sameness, this place is a breath of fresh air.

So if you’re in San Leandro and want great coffee, friendly service, and the satisfaction of supporting a woman-owned, community-focused business, Sabino’s Cafe should absolutely be on your list. Give it a visit — and don’t leave without the banana bread.

No frills coffee shop that does things right. Simple menu and drinks made as you want them to be. Stopped in for an iced drink on a hot day and it was perfect. Easy on and off of 580 East if you need a quick stop

I love Sabbinos. I come for the Mexican Chocolate. Today was a normal day here excellent coffee. Could have used a better vibe with the staff. They seemed a little dry today especially the cashier. No worries because normally everything is perfect.

The woman checking me out asked me how my day was going and what brought me there at 2p on a Friday. “My roommate switched off the electricity in order to switch out the old outlets with fresh new ones.” “Awww I love old quirky outlets but hey I guess I get it. With those old outlets you probably lose a lot of juice and these days, with Bose stereo and TVs and high speed WiFi, juice really matters”, she pointed out. Indeed, juice does matter. Get the spinach and cheese croissant and the chocolate chip muffin. They don’t have any throw away pastries though. Take your time and sip your juice on the shady back patio.
