We started with the vegetable spring rolls recommended by our server. They were a good size, crispy, and very tasty. Next was the green curry with sticky rice, which had a decent level of spice but was disappointing in terms of vegetables, with only a single piece of eggplant.
The chicken pad Thai was excellent and enjoyed by everyone at the table. Unfortunately, the pineapple shrimp fried rice, also recommended by the server, was the low point. While the presentation in a pineapple was nice, the dish itself lacked flavor and none of us really enjoyed it.
Overall, it is a nice spot with good service and some strong dishes, though a couple of items missed the mark.
I ordered Pad Kee Mow and I’d say it’s 6/10 (no basil this time? I’ve had it here with Basil before, don’t know why they changed the recipe)
The Tom Yum (shrimp) on the other hand was a real fail. Very lackluster, essentially it’s just broth with two pieces of shrimp and mushroom scraps (and for $7 no less)
Today was October 10 (this date matters later). We went for lunch as a family. My wife ordered Thai tea, and my daughter ordered a mango juice for $3.50.
When the drinks arrived, my daughter started drinking hers. My wife tried the juice and said it tasted awful. I tasted it too. It was terrible and moldy. We checked the can, and the expiry date was May 4.
We told the waitress, “Sorry, this juice is really off. It’s expired.” She took it without surprise. We then heard someone in the back say, “Just give them another one. Give them the lychee one.” We politely said, “Thank you, but please cancel the juice.”
Our food arrived. My dish was fine, not as good as it used to be, but acceptable. My wife’s yellow curry was decent. Then came our daughter’s pad Thai. Being cautious after the juice incident, we tasted it first. It also tasted off.
My wife and I love pad Thai and have tried it at most places in Ottawa. This one tasted strange, as if the chicken was undercooked or had gone bad.
We hesitantly told the waitress that the pad Thai didn’t taste right. We never send food back, so this felt awkward. She didn’t seem thrilled but took it back and said they would make it again.
Two minutes later, the same plate came back warmer and drenched in extra sauce. We tried it again, but it was still off. We told our daughter not to eat it. The full plate sat on the table. The waitress never checked if it was any better.
When we got the bill, they charged us fully for the pad Thai. We were too shy to argue, so we paid for a dish that wasn’t edible.
This was our last time here. If you care about your health and love Thai food, try somewhere else. We certainly will.
P.S. We paid $5.50 for the shrimp rolls (you get two rolls). As you can see in the pictures, it wasn’t even de-veined! It is really gross. We didn’t eat that either.
The first thing you notice is the quick service; despite how busy they can get, the staff is incredibly efficient without ever making you feel rushed. Every dish feels like it was prepared with perfection in mind—the balance of sweet, salty, and spicy is consistently spot-on.
You can really tell they prioritize quality ingredients. The vegetables are crisp, the proteins are tender, and the herbs are vibrant and fresh.
Most importantly, there’s an intangible element to the food here; it truly feels made with love. It’s the kind of soul-warming meal that stays with you long after you’ve left.
Highly recommended for anyone who values consistency and genuine hospitality!
Amazing Thai food and fantastic service! Every dish was packed with fresh, vibrant flavors and perfectly balanced spices. My favorite dish is the Pad See Ew! Theirs is the best in town. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely one of the best Thai spots I’ve tried and I can’t wait to come back!
