Sabai Jai Thai Bistro is a creation of Alexander, who has lived the past 11 years in Northern Thailand. His great interest was the Lanna Kingdom and it’s rich culture, and their royal cuisine, including other royal provinces throughout Thailand that served rich, healthy recipes for the palaces from 1237 until the sixteenth centaury. The environment and food at Sabai Jai Thai Bistro reflects the delicate and exotic dishes that were meticulously prepared, with herbs and spices that combined bitter, sweet, salty, citrus and spicy together that produce an exotic taste of goodness. It is these fine dishes that we brought over from Northern Thailand for our valued guests, which is also presented in a Northern Thai environment. Kap Khun Khrap.

This place is a gem in Marsaskala! The glass noodles with shrimps were amazing! I haven’t haf such a delicious meal in a while! The green curry was also great, while the staff were super kind. Don’t let the size of this place and the oldish interior fool you, their food is top notch and for a good price!

Absolutely loved this place!!! The food is amazing, the best Pad Thai noodles I tried! And big portion as well, I couldn’t finish it at once. We took it to go and they packed us the food very well, adding some extra chili flakes etc.
The place itself is beautiful and cozy, family friendly, a great place for a date as well.

From the Tom Kha, served in a sharing portion with its own ‘kettle’ – full of large juicy perfectly cooked prawns, to the mixed meat starter – enormous, so full of flavours and the perfectly cooked rice to accompany our mains. Truly the best Thai meal I have ever had – and I am comparing it to meals I have had in Thailand itself – cooked with the best and freshest ingredients and a love for the Northern Thailand food on offer. This petite little place is right near our apartment where we are holidaying and didn’t catch our attention until we read reviews online, very positive. We tried it tonight .. wow. The appetiser of fried chicken pieces with peanut sauce was huge. The mains, a chicken pad Thai and pork dish (number 44 on the menu) were beautifully made and bursting with flavour. So so good, we will go once again while here. Calm ambience inside and just great great food.

I must say this is the best Thai restaurant I have ever tried in Europe. I had a vacation in Marsaskala then found a lovely restaurant next to Air bnb. I came here twice, dishes were excellent. No complain about seafood – it was fresh. The service was great! Highly recommend!!!

Amazing place! Incredibly delicious food, very sweet service, pretty place, great prices and portions. We had shrimp pad thai and vegetable soup the first time, which both were so amazing. Shrimp fried rice was even better than these though. What a great comfort place.
