This my second time eating in this restaurant. I did not take pic of my first visit but I ordered their spring roll and pork belly rice meal. Somehow, this is a so so food. For the second time, I tried their pad thai with prawns and fried fish cake. This is good better than food i ordered in my first visit. They take order and serve food fast. The price is on the expensive side but the food quality is good. The vibes in the restaurant is very good. They have large tv with a bar. Very good for drinking and watching sports.

food is okay. price is fair and amazing. service and food come up fast. we ordered the coconut chicken soup, chicken is bit dry and soup is bit too salty. the pineapple fried rice is good, moist and sweet.

Food: there were several creative dishes on the menu. The food was overall good but is on the salty end. The portion also felt small relative to the price. Be careful, even medium spicy is very spicy.

Service: I was a bit disappointed with the service. Next to us was a table with 10+ people. The same server checked in with them multiple times during our 1.5 hour of meal, but never once checked in with us. We had to wait 15+ minutes just to get the server’s attention to request the check.

The food here is incredibly fresh and flavorful and authentic.
Their sweet fresh coconut was so refreshing and delicious. perfect for cooling down the flavorful dishes. Our food came out surprisingly fast, which was great because we were starving!
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, made with fresh ingredients and bold Thai flavors. We may have over-ordered but the food was so good that we finished every last bite. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving authentic Thai cuisine!

Had lunch with a friend here and everything was expected very delicious since we were introduced by one of my foodie friends. The Thai food here were authentic and good since I don’t really eat spicy everything was perfect wasn’t over spiced at all. The only thing I would work on is the cocktails, didn’t taste the alcohol don’t get me wrong I’m also not an alcoholic. Other than that everything was perfect

Picked up some takeout food from this restaurant and enjoyed everything we ordered. Flavor and spice levels were very good. All the dishes and a good amount of meat in them. Pick up was ready in a timely fashion. Looking forward to trying out more menu options next time

This spot is tucked away in SOMA and offers great service, food, and vibes. Everything we ordered was delicious and served in big portions. For lunch, we had the grilled pork shoulder, pad thai hor kai, and crab fried rice. Definitely want to come back to try more of their Thai street food menu!

Maybe it is just a series of unfortunate events but this was the worst meal I’ve had in a quite a while. I write this at almost 11p because I’m up and nauseous from the food I ate around 5:30pm.

So I came here because my first option stopped serving at 4 which I was unaware of until I got there. That sucked especially after having to walk out of a movie before they revealed the 4th vengeful killer or maybe 5th? I lost track. IDK&IDC, it was long and horrible. So this place was close by and I decided to wait for it to open. I had some hope for it, the reviews were decent and I like Thai food and this made me long to go back to Thailand where I had some of the best food experiences. This was not that.

The restaurant is decorated cute plays like some house dance music and has a nice vibe so I had some hope for it.

I was the 2nd patron in and the restaurant is a good size but it was just us two and they sat me down one table from him so there was him an empty table, myself and then another table along a bench seat wall. I figure that’s easiest for the wait staff so no biggie. They took my order I realize before the other guy who was patiently waiting and I thought that was strange cuz how long had he been there not looking at the menu anymore by the the time they handed me mine. Anyway, I order and then he orders. While I watch some TikTok, another gentleman walks in and they sit him in between me and the 1st guy. I thought, really? This whole big restaurant and you’re cramming us in the corner together. Then a gentleman and his girlfriend come in and they sit them to my right. We are the only people in there all in the same corner! Then the very first guy has a friend come in to sit with him and a 3rd person joins the couple and thats when my food arrives. So comfy with 8 people surrounding me in an otherwise empty restaurant. Another woman walked in and I thought to myself, well there’s an empty chair across from, might as well fill it.
They sat her at one of the 20 tables in the middle of the restaurant thankfully because we were all out of room in this one corner.
So the food. I ordered a beer, the samosa and the crispy pork with basil from the street food section and they asked if I wanted jasmine rice with that which was extra. The beer was very good, it was the first lager on the list and it was actually the only thing I did enjoy and they got it to me pretty quick. Before the 3rd guy had been seated between myself and No.1.
The samosa were…lackluster. Dry, nothing to dip in and served on a lettuce leaf with some sweet cucumber thing which was okay but didnt really go with the samosa at least I couldn’t figure out how. I ended up using it with the crispy pork.
The crispy pork. Maybe I misread the menu or something but it was room temp? There was a piece in the middle that was warm that made me think it should be a hotter dish but it’s not what I was expecting. Basically cold pork with a sweet basil sauce. I wanted to send it back but I’ve never done that or really had a reason too and I’ve seen the movie Waiting so Im not about to do that. I can make the best of it. I have some rice too right? Luke warm, no steam coming off of anything. Dry rice, better suited to making fried rice and barely warm. I was sad. I should have ordered soup like the 3rd guy did…at least that looked hot. I played with my food a little, ate the cold rice and the parts of the samosa that weren’t so dry.
Just wanting to get home, I payed my $60 tab and left a $10 tip because I’m not heartless.
Now I lay in bed, in the dark nauseous and having missed a band I was supposed to go see because I had bought tix weeks ago cuz I’m not so stupid as to risk the night getting any worse by getting sick at a show.

Saap has some of the best Thai food in San Francisco

Food: very authentic and the spice level is on the Spicer side. I choose medium or 3. Thai hot is very hot.

My favorites are the larb salad, som tum poo pla ra, tom yum fried rice, pad see ew and pad Thai. They get very good wokhey on the noodles.

I also love the chicken wings and the north east sausage

Ambience: Street food vibes. Fun to watch the live counters

Price: saap is a little pricey when compared to some of the other options in the city but the taste more than makes up for it IMO. 30-40$ per head is a reasonable estimate for an app and main.

Service: friendly servers. They arranged a free desert for us on our anniversary.

10/10 will visit many more times
