I love the atmosphere of the public market so it’s definitely worth the trip in and exploring other foods! Service was great and very quick! I got the stir fried ramen noodles with brisket at a spice level 4 and let’s just say the brisket was cooked very deliciously! The stir fry sauce was on the sweeter side and not spicy at all haha. As a girl who loves spicy food I wish it was spicy but I just asked for a side of chili oil and chili flakes!

Fall Lunch Delight at Saap Saap Noodles — Flavor That Wows!

On a crisp, gold-leaf-drifting fall day, my girlfriend and I wandered into Saap Saap Noodles at Lenexa Public Market, hoping for a warm lunch and ended up discovering a new favorite. This spot brings authentic Lao & Thai noodle-house magic from family recipes straight to Kansas.

I ordered the Pho Beef Oxtail Noodle Soup with the “Extra! Lao Spicy Flavor Bomb” add-on (bold move, and worth it ). My friend went with the Khao Poon Nam Kai — red-curry‐infused chicken vermicelli noodles. We both sipped carefully chilled infused waters between bites. The oxtail pho delivered deep richness and that brilliant heat; the Khao Poon was aromatic and perfectly balanced.

Pros
• Deep, bold flavor in every bite — especially the pho oxtail and Khao Poon.
• Unique dishes rarely found in KC area: Lao-style pho, Thai infusions, flavor-bomb add-on.
• Fall lunch was cozy and satisfying on a cool day — just the vibe.

Cons
• As a new concept, service/pacing can sometimes be a bit slower during peak.
• Located inside a market — while fun, it can get a little noisy or crowded midday.

Pro Tips:
• If you love spice, add the Lao Spicy Flavor Bomb to your soup — a serious flavor upgrade.
• Try the Khao Poon Nam Kai for something aromatic and curry-rich.
• Visit a little before noon on weekends if you want a more relaxed lunch seating.
• Be sure to ask staff about the daily specials — the menu evolves and shows the chef’s heritage with fresh touches.

Two bowls, one market lunch, and all of a sudden we had a new go-to place — Saap Saap Noodles doesn’t just serve noodles, it serves comfort in a bowl.

First time today and it was good! We got Night Market Noodles, Khao Piak Sen, Lao sausage, we also got all house-made drinks!

I think the owner took my order, he was so nice to give me extra side (egg rolls!) because we waited long because of lunch time, he didn’t have to but he went out of the way to gave the food to us!
Will be back to try different dishes

Cost $60+ for lunch for two and the entrees were just ok—the night market noodles were bitter up front and a little too hot. The pork belly was almost all fat. We each tried a lobster rangoon .. it did not taste that different.

If anyone has read any of my reviews regarding Malaysia, you know I am a noodle snob

Tonight’s choice of dining is nestled inside The Lenexa Public Market. My hubs found this establishment through his Facebook News feed.

While, the noodles weren’t entirely bad, they should pay attention to the temperature of the food as any Pho dish should be steaming hot. My Night Market Noodles were decent, but lacked a punch even with the additional chili oil.

It’s pricey, but your paying for the atmosphere.

I’ll be back to try EVERYTHING! Today I had the pho with sliced beef and meatballs with the Lao spice bomb which put it over the top. The flavors were spectacular and they’re not stingy with the portions. I HIGHLY recommend. AND if you sit at the counter you get even better service. Love this place

It was my first time here and it did not disappoint. We got their new crispy pork belly noodle and their chicken udon stir fry! Absolutely delicious! I was really finding myself craving something sweet after so maybe in the future! The food was hot and was packed! Super flavorful and fresh!
I highly recommend coming here for a quick eat. Everything came out so FAST!!!

Food is amazing. We often door dash to Western Lenexa and the food shows up in less than 30 min. Everything we order is great. I always get the ribeye and rice bowl; love it.

Atmosphere was the best thing about the place, very cute. The food however was a total let down. I got the red curry with ribeye. The steak was chewy and just bad. My partner got the midnight market and he could not finish it, overly salty and lacking flavor. We spent $60 for two entrees, a Thai tea, and rangoons. For $60 you could get a way better meal many other places. Id skip this spot. (The rangoons were good I’ll give them that but thats the only thing we enjoyed)

The best Laos and Thai food!!! We only go to Lenexa public market for Saap Noodles. We have visited here plenty of times and have tried all the items on the menu. We have tried all the rice plates, the night market noodles with pork belly, the pho with oxtail, egg rolls and pho chicken wing appetizers and various noodle soups they offer. The flavors are delicious and authentic. Service and atmosphere is amazing!
