Highly recommend checking this cafe out! I tried the Tropical Blend Fruit tea and their Hibiscus Sunset. Both were very flavorful. They were pretty sweet so I’d recommend lowering the sugar level (or keep it if you have a sweet tooth). These are both very refreshing drinks on a hot day.

Parking can be tough since it’s only street parking, but it wasn’t too difficult to find a spot if you drive around.

I’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Oat milk matcha with the salted cream top was amazing! They have a build your own matcha option which is helpful to guide you on what you can include in your matcha and how sweet you want it, I want to try the pistachio matcha next time. They even have an ube option with the matcha cream top. Parking is behind the main entrance but plenty of open spots on a Saturday. Fast drink prep, I’ll be back for sure very good options and some pastries as well

This looks like a fake or misleading promotion — the sign claims ‘50% off pastries 2 hours before closing’ but if that discount isn’t honored, it’s false advertising. Businesses shouldn’t bait customers with fake deals. I went there at 640 pm annd they close at 7 pm and she said no !

The drinks have large portions and were very good! I would recommend adjusting the sweetness to ~50% if you like things “not too sweet.”
The place is cute but can get very noisy so not ideal for long study sessions.

The owner, Peter, recommended I get the most popular item the almond roasted iced latte (I got it with oat milk) and WOW, extremely delicious. The service was incredible and kind. Pricing is reasonable and you’re able to sit there or stop in. This needs more hype in the mass amount of coffee shops within the area because it’s easily one of the best coffee shops in Fullerton.

Absolutely delicious coffee ! I got the sesame bliss – had such a good coffee/nutty flavor that wasn’t too sweet ! Was greeted with such a warm welcome . Owner also gave me a sample of the milk tea and I wish I had room for that as well. Definitely next time !!!

I went with my friend after class since we wanted coffee. Best place for sure, we saw the 5 star review they have so we thought they must be good. I can confirm it’s the best thing ever. I got the banana latte and it’s delicious, if you’re not a fan of sweetness maybe it’s not for you but I am so I’m obsessed. The owner is so sweet too! Really made us feel welcomed.

Ryo Coffee & Tea is a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it spot … but you’ll be pleased you didn’t miss it!

Location:
It’s small-ish and if you drive on busy Chapman Avenue you might not have noticed it across from Fullerton College. There’s no parking lot in the front — only in the back with limited street parking in the front. This is really the only complaint I have, as I first went to the back but saw a bunch of homeless people hanging out back there. So I circled back to the front; fortunately there were spots in the front on Saturday around noon. Of course, Ryo has no control over the homeless situation, but it’s something to note.

Atmosphere:
Once inside, I found it clean, pleasant, and inviting. It’s not crazy big, so if you might have trouble finding a spot during peak hours; there’s about 4 small square tables and two long tables.

Drinks:
We’ve only gotten two so far but both were great: creamy matcha and sesame bliss. The former had a strong matcha flavor we were seeking without the grittiness of a lesser tea. The sesame bliss was a filter-brewed coffee latte with black sesame foam. The foam had a nice nuttiness with a hint of sweetness, nicely balancing the solid coffee.

Service:
Our barista was friendly and knowledgeable — we couldn’t have asked for more.

Conclusion:
It’s sometimes hard to find a cafe that serves drinks that are both strong and flavorful, while still offering good customer service. I’m happy to say Ryo does both. We’ll be back to try the other drinks!
