Ryan’s Restaurant is a fine dining restaurant in Winston-Salem, NC. Independently owned since 1977 we carry the highest quality of beef, seafood, and chops. Ryan’s is nestled in a cozy setting in the woods with a beautiful stream running behind the building. We are open six days a week and closed on all major holidays.
Upscale Continental destination with extensive wine list in a wooded setting overlooking a stream.

I originally was going to another restaurant and they were closed. I Google for a restaurant that was near and had seafood. Ryan’s was on the top 5 location to select. When I arrived they provided free parking, but it was packed. There was a waiting time for a space at the bar of about 20 minutes. Once I was seated the service was fast. The decor of the location with their thick polished wood, gave me a feel of a speakeasy style vibe. The lights were dim for those that don’t want to be notice. I really enjoyed myself. The food was good and the raw oysters were fresh. I will definitely return with my family. The price is not your national food franchises prices, but sometimes you are worth it.

I was underwhelmed. Service has went down hill. We are used to the prices and have been multiple times and know that they do not have a kids menu so ordered what was supposed to have been a small filet. On the receipt It was labeled as a small topper at $47 for literally 4 slices ( I will post the photo) and then of those slices cut up. My littlest even was surprised when they seen the steak and portion size. The baked potato was bigger. Disappointed and ridiculous. Service not really attentive, only smiled at the end when they brought check and thanked us for the night.
We were there to celebrate my oldest”s Birthday. My steak however, which was the 14 oz Ribeye, was cooked to perfection and my oldest loved his wagu steak, as well as the wagu meatballs. They did get the seating request right and did give him a birthday treat.

Food was great especially the duck was very juicy and tender, steaks are all MP, which we asked they say a ribeye 6oz was $80 I think that was a bit overpriced. Great service great atmosphere, good place for anniversary celebrations

We went to Ryan’s last night for a New Year’s Eve dinner. It was our first visit there. The service, food, and atmosphere were all perfect. We were greeted and sat right away, we didn’t have to wait for our server, and all of our courses came out perfectly timed. Maggie was our server, and she was excellent! For being completely booked up for the holiday, she took care of all of her tables with grace and gave us all individual and personalized attention. We will absolutely be back and would love to have Maggie again as our server! The food was delicious (if you like seafood and steaks, this is the place to go). Thank you to everyone there for a great first experience!

We had a fantastic dining experience at Ryan’s Steak House. From the moment we walked in, Brooke made us feel at home. My wife ordered the Crab Cakes, and they were absolutely outstanding—perfectly seasoned, packed with flavor, and cooked to a beautiful golden crisp on the outside while remaining tender inside. You could really taste the quality of the ingredients, and they were plated beautifully as well.
I went with the filet mignon, and it was cooked exactly to my requested temperature—tender, juicy, and full of rich, savory flavor. It practically melted in my mouth. The sides complemented the meal perfectly, and the service throughout the evening was attentive without being overbearing. Overall, it was a memorable meal and a great spot for a date night. We’ll definitely be back for another special evening.

Last night my wife and I celebrated our 12th Valentine’s together here at Ryan’s. She has been here before once, but this was my first time. The atmosphere is dark and cozy which makes for a romantic experience.
Our waiter brought out water for us and complimentary bread. Pretzels bread with this cheese spread and bread with butter. Both were delicious!
I ordered the prime Ribeye, and my wife ordered the prime Filet. The steaks were really good. We also got their 4 cheese macaroni and whipped potatoes. Let me tell you the 4 cheese macaroni was amazing. The potatoes were good too
Oh, and we got the appetizer wagyu meatballs too. They were delicious
We ordered deserts to go. I got the NY cheese cake and my wife got this triple chocolate cake. I’ve ate mine already and it was good. My wife has yet to eat hers, but I’m sure it will be goood.
Overall, I would recommend this place for a nice date night or special occasion. It’s not the cheapest place to dine, but it’d say it’s well worth it.

Ate here for my parents anniversary. Our server was so sweet and personable. The food was incredible. I would highly recommend the French onion soup. The bread is amazing as well. But my favorite part was the creme brûlée and they even wrote happy anniversary on my mom and dads! So cute!

Went for anniversary. Our table was ready upon arrival. Devin was our server and she was fantastic. She gave great suggestions and was very tentative. Food came out in course. Generous portions and great taste for everything, I would suggest a light sweater because it was cool in side sitting near the windows. The outdoor area is beautiful and well maintained. Would love to return!

For a special occasion, event, anniversary, or friendly gathering this is your place. The overall atmosphere is for those who wish to have a nice dining experience accompanied by the elegant wait staff that is more than accommodating with your needs. The food is prepared to your liking and not how the restaurant sees fit with the chef. The additions to your meal were very good and flavourful. We did not participate in the alcohol portion but the water tasted very clean and very filtered. Parking is not a problem unless it’s a very busy evening but should accompany most parties attending. Recommend making reservations for a week or two out if you have a specific day. Recommend for a special evening or splurge days but not the everyday due to the cost. But like I said it’s well worth it.
