I used to hear people wax poetic about light and fluffy biscuits and I ‘thought’ I knew what they were talking about. I’ve been eating biscuits all my life and assumed it was hyperbole. I figured anything lighter than a canned biscuit won that praise via comparison.
Then I ate here for the first time this morning. I went to tear open my biscuit only to be greeted with a texture I can only compare to tearing open a cloud. It was so light and fluffy it caused a seismic shift in what I consider a biscuit. I am now forever changed and forever burdened by the fact I live over an hour away an cannot afford to experience them on the regular.
The building itself is clearly old and a little rough around the edges, but the food is well worth overlooking that. This is a must for anyone that values good food over ambience. It’s a hole in the wall but it’s a hole in the wall with excellent food.
(We got french toast, a half order of biscuits and gravy, and a trash omelette)

A wonderfully reliable space that could have been featured on “Diners Drive Ins and Dives” . This is the sort of place you dream of on a road trip or a lazy Saturday morning.
The service is warm and friendly. I felt welcome and well attended to. The food came out remarkably fast and was delicious.
Some of my favorites were the country fried steak, the Hashbrown Casserole, the eggs and the plain pancakes.

This is THE BEST local breakfast place in Augusta!!!! I’m so glad they stayed open. The prices are extremely reasonable, the food is tasty and homemade, every server is friendly, attentive, and amazing, and the atmosphere is family-like and cozy. If you ever visit Augusta, place is a MUST try. I will miss this place’s small-town
charm, and will definitely be back!

This is as local as you can get for Augusta. I don’t know when this place was first open, but it sure felt like this place hasn’t changed in 50 years. The service was good, and people were friendly. The food didn’t take too long to come out and it tasted ok and the price was reasonable. I appreciate the local vibe of this place.

I had breakfast here last week. This is a cozy little local place with friendly people. Bobbie was an exceptional server and took great care of me. I had the blueberry pancakes with bacon and it was a delicious breakfast. When I went to check out someone had already paid my tab. I have never had this happen before. I am forever grateful and will pay it forward to bless someone else. I will be back for the amazing food, atmosphere, and service. This place has a small town feel like where I grew up!

Going in here was like a trip down memory lane. Your typical greasy spoon Café that reminded me of the 60s or 70s Food was good and service was great.

My first time eating here despite living in Evans area since 1995. Our server Bobbie was as delightful as the dishes we ate. I had eggs and I am very very picky about my eggs I like running yellow yolks but I am grossed out by running whites. I asked Bobbie to make sure I had no running whites even if the cook had to make the yolk hard I can’t stand running whites. The eggs reminded me of a child in school the way my mother cooked them for me soft yellow yoke and no running whites at all. Hash browns, sausage patties coffee everything was great and the price was no more than if I had gone to fast food place. I am very pleased I came and I will for certain eat at Ruth’s again. It really is great food for a unbelievable low price. Please support Ruth’s and tell them you read this review and decided to try them.

My wife, bonus son, our friend, and I chose to dine at this place. We had a short wait before getting seated. Our waitress was exceptionally cheerful. We placed our orders, and the food arrived promptly. However, the country ham was overly salty, the scrambled eggs were too separated, and the pancakes were below average. My meal didn’t impress me much. The highlights were the delightful waitress and the tasty grits.
