This is a great place to get Colombian food. I usually get the lomo saltado and every time it’s been consistently great. The atmosphere and music are also a great addition.

We started ordering takeout from La Ruta regularly about 2 months ago, but after finding a staple in our beans, we will never return. This is a serious health hazard, and their response was appalling. When I called to report it, the staff seemed more concerned about identifying what a staple was than the fact that they served us beans with a metal object in it and that someone eating their food got hurt because of their neglect. Despite explaining the situation in detail and sending a requested photo to verify it, they didn’t even apologize or offer a refund or meal replacement. I had to push for fresh beans, which they reluctantly agreed to replace. The response was dismissive, unprofessional, and disrespectful to loyal patrons. This experience was unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. We were so disgusted we just threw out all of the food ordered and didn’t go back there again.
