We are a fun and very small bar with a small kitchen that provides some great food but it takes a while to accommodate large orders due to space restrictions. We provide a fun social environment and encourage laughter. We are kinda smart asses but in a good way, I hope. We have lots of great whiskeys and spirits.

Vibes in here are AMAZING!! Julie and James were working and they were so sweet (even though 8 annoying loud girls walked in). They made us super yummy green tea shots which we had been wanting all week and they truly was so yummy. It’s small in the building but personally it is apart of the atmosphere and good vibes. I will 100000% be coming back next time I’m in town.

Oh my, MacGregors is now Rusty Moose. We used to frequent this establishment when Chip was the owner and loved the vibe, food, employees and cocktails. Chip decided to sell/retire and the new ownership has pretty much destroyed everything Chip built. The Black Cherry whiskey Sour was one of the best cocktails on the coast and the new version is a pale, awful comparison. The black manhattan was another favorite and the current one is another sorry imitation. Paying $$ for a craft cocktail and getting much less is not good. The food is simply OK, as before it was outstanding. They’ve removed several items from the previous menu. The wait staff, which appears to have been brought from The Manzanita Lighthouse (which the current owner used to own) is friendly, however, lacks the professionalism of the past. I suppose they’re trying to make it a great place to go, however, IMO, it’s not working. We won’t be going back, not worth the $$$.

Cozy, charming, and super dog-friendly — The Rusty Moose is a hidden gem on the Oregon coast. Incredible food and drinks (don’t miss the midnight martini or that waffle with Pinot compote). It’s a small, family-run spot, so service can be a little slow — but the warmth, flavor, and vibe more than make up for it.

I’m a bit biased with this post, as I’ve known the owner for 30 yrs, from our days in the Navy. Jay, is a disabled veteran, runs a great buisness, and his staff, James and Julie really work hard, with new ideas for great customer experience.
I’m hooked on the smoked salmon bagels, with cream cheese, and kale. Till our next visit, take care guys, and keep having fun. Gene and Marilyn.

One of the best food experiences we have ever had!! We left one restaurant because they professed to be dog friendly and happen to get to the Rusty Moose. Chef Jay was not only awesome to our dog Clarky but also made our dinner which was for a big occasion a celebration we will remember forever!! Thank you Jay for making our day and making our family’s day so much better with your amazing food and amazing attitude !!!

A great little place to explore a wide selection of whiskeys. It’s nice to be able to sample so many different whiskeys without having to buy the whole bottle. They also offer a fantastic variety of lite fare to go along with your libations.

This was a fantastic casual upscale cocktail bar. With great meaningful touches from the owners. They were super kind and made fantastic bites and some of the best drinks around, a real hidden gem!
This experience came as quite a shock. NOTHING was like it use to be. Clear ownership/management change. Very disappointed. Every single part of the experience sucked. Completely different vibe. Drinks are a joke. Reminded me of a dive bar. Will not be back.

We love this place! It is small, cozy and amazing! We’ve sat on the back patio during the high season, but sat inside this time. They do not do reservations and have very few tables, so arrive early and be prepared to wait a little bit. Fantastic whiskey selection, excellent craft cocktails to rival anything in a larger city. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and quirky. The atmosphere is awesome. We always get the almonds, olives and pretzels. The food selection is small but delicious and there are vegetarian options. I’ve done the lobster bisque in the past and it’s great. This time we had mac and cheese, also excellent. The shortbread and dipping sauces are to die for. Even for those that typically don’t like dessert.
