First of all. 25 minute wait for 3 tacos in an empty restaurant is ridiculous. The salsa was unusually sweet and clearly not the typical batch they serve. After a few bites with my chips, it tasted more like melted candy than salsa. It was honestly unpleasant. I politely asked if I could exchange it for a small serving of queso instead, even just a tiny sauce cup, but was told no. All my years eating out, I’ve never seen/heard a restaurant tell a patron no to sauce. What a joke. Used to love coming here. Place has gone down hill. $20 for 3 tacos is also robbery.

My wife and I like to grab lunch here on our breaks. We run the Chinese restaurant next door and like trying new things. Seafood tacos are our favorites. I also love the breakfast burritos too, available all day!

This place is great they have amazing tacos and staff is nice. There has been only one time I ate here where the tortillas were hard but this time made up for that experience. I love the Crispy Shrimp Tacos and their chips and salsa/queso is delicious!

Shout to the cashier(lady) working on Sunday 2/22. I had my 2 year old fall asleep in the car and she was kind enough to run my pick up order out as to not leave him unsupervised.Fortunately the front parking spot was open but also let me know it was slow so normally unable to accommodate such a request, great customer service but set the expectation for the future.

Maybe I had too high of expectations? Stopped by for lunch one day because, tacos. I’d heard for a long time how great the Rusty Taco is. I don’t get it. The tacos were decent flavor wise, made to order. Which is nice, unless you’re in a rush. 16 minute wait and $19 for 3 small, street style tacos and a fountain soda is not a great value imo. These would get a better rating at 60% of the price. Probably won’t be back. There are better tacos locally for half the price.

Food was good but there was a large black grease spot in front of the women’s bathroom. My toddler slipped and fell on it. When we told the woman working the front counter what had happened, she said “oh, was the spot black? I saw that earlier.” Which makes it even worse because this could have been prevented. What a terrible careless employee. She was more worried about checking her cell phone and chatting with her friends than she was for the safety of customers. She continued on her “shift” without cleaning it up. I ended up putting paper towels over the mess so that no one else would fall.

I’ve been going to Rusty Taco for years in Minneapolis so I was excited when we moved to Maple Grove that there was one near us. Unfortunately that’s where the excitement ended. The quality of food and service is very different one time to the next. We’ve gone to the Maple Grove location about 6 times now and have had 2 positive experiences and 4 negative ones. The first picture I attached is a great steak nachos we got there about a week ago. It tasted amazing and was $9.25. We told a lot of our friends we were impressed by the amount and quality we received. Today we went excited to order the same thing again and the second picture is what we got, also the price jumped in a week from $9.25 to $12. The chips were so salty they weren’t even edible. As you can see there were 2 diced tomatoes and a lot less food overall, there was 1 slice of jalapeño pepper. I’ve never had such salty chips and it was basically a bowl of chips with a little meat and about a tablespoon of queso. The meat was extremely salty as well. After 6 visits to this location and very different experiences, I don’t think we’ll be going back here any more. Fortunately there are lots of other great dining options nearby. I do hope they can figure out the quality, when we visit a chain big or small we would like the same quality of food each time.

This place is awesome! The environment is always clean, welcoming, great staff and speedy service! I’ve been there right at rush hour and they were efficient! I was there recently before rush hour and literally I had taken my receipt and my name was being called for my food. Food is amazing!! Such a variety of tacos. They are all single tacos but man they fill you up. I would recommend the Rusty Taco for sure. And make sure to grab chips and queso, a great addition to the meal! Definitely must swing on by and try it out!

The picture on the left is the quality of the avocado I received and paid extra money for in my taco and on my steak fajita bowl. The picture on the right is a picture of a steak fajita taco bowl on “salad”. I didn’t want the rice I wanted a salad and all I got was soupy lettuce at the bottom of a wet, sub par bowl with rotten avocado and “soup” at the Maple Grove location just now… Picked up at 5:30 Got it home and posting at 5:48. This is disgusting and no one should let this out their door
