We both had build your own combo breakfast platter. Combined we had biscuits, sausage gravy, tenderloin, bacon, hash browns, grits, and scrambled eggs. The food on both of our platters was cold when they first brought it out. Our server took them back to the kitchen and microwaved them. The food was quite tasty after being re-heated

The service was good. The pancakes and eggs Benedict were outstanding. The home fries were not good—bland and somehow both mushy and not completely cooked at the same time. I would absolutely go back but might make different food choices.

We often visit Mt Airy, but not had a chance to try Rusty Rooster Southern Breakfast yet. We really didn’t know what we were missing! We arrived for our breakfast late, luckily they serve breakfast all day. We started with ordering French vanilla cold brews, served in Mason jars with handles and topped with whipped cream. They were so good. We told our server Savannah how much we enjoyed them, she explained that she has been told she makes them really well before. We definitely agree. He choose to pair fresh squeezed orange juice with his bacon, egg, and cheese on toast with home fries on side. I ordered the breakfast burrito, also with home fries on the side. Both meals were fantastic! I wish I had added an order of pico de gallo to dip my burrito in, but didn’t even think about it until I was almost done. We are already looking forward to our next visit and planning what to try next.

The food and service were great. I would eat here again. My omelette was good and my wife enjoyed her pancakes. A great place to stop for a bite to eat when you’re on a motorcycle trip. They get a 3/4 Dang.

Really good food with really slow, inattentive service. Slow day with only a few tables occupied, so sat quickly…then waited over 10 minutes for a waiter to greet my party. We were gathering our things to walk out when someone stopped by. The food portions were HUGE and everything tasted good! But we were only checked on once, and no drink refill offers. Again, the food was decently good! The service just lacked all around.

Family outing and were seated quickly. Staff was very attentive, got our orders all correct. The food was just awesome and very delicious. The biscuits and pancakes are a highlight. But the entire experience was very good. Will try to return when we are back to Mt. Airy, NC.

We were searching for a quick breakfast before hitting the road for a long drive on our vacation. The Rusty Rooster was perfect! Great food, southern hospitality, all reasonably priced. The decor was country/barn and tastefully done. Highly recommend!
