Rusty Pelican Restaurant is truly a gem in Mississippi. Not only do they serve one of the best breakfasts in the area—with amazing beignets, quality coffee, and refreshing fruit tea—but the atmosphere is what makes this place special.

The owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially with children. My kids absolutely love this restaurant and constantly talk about coming back for their favorite dishes. From the moment you walk in, you feel a warm, home-like environment that makes you want to stay longer.

Their Asian menu is outstanding, with the pho easily ranking as the #1 Vietnamese dish in the area. Rusty Pelican offers great food, genuine hospitality, and a family-friendly experience that keeps guests coming back.

My husband and I stopped here for brunch during a road trip. Overall, we were satisfied. I ordered a café au lait, but its taste was not as good as what I have had elsewhere.

However, in this town, Rusty Pelican is a good breakfast/brunch option due to its menu variety and long serving hours.

Favorite place for breakfast! Beignets are the best on the Coast and Monday Red Beans and Rice lunch special is excellent. I live almost an hour away and try to come here at least once a week. Wonderful food, service and atmosphere.

BEST breakfast winner!! We went for breakfast. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was prompt taking our drink and food order. We ordered the Chef Breakfast and the French toast plate. The wait time for our food was a normal amount of time. The food came out perfect! All of it was absolutely scrumptious! We both cleaned our plates!
Terrific experience!

A Homestyle Breakfast!

This was our first time eating at The Rusty Pelican in Long Beach MS, and we absolutely loved it! I had seen online that their breakfast was really good, and it did not disappoint. The moment we walked in, it felt like home ! Warm, cozy, and welcoming. The atmosphere was so down-to-earth and inviting, like a little slice of Southern comfort.

The food tasted just like something you’d cook in your own kitchen on a Sunday morning — fluffy pancakes, creamy grits, perfectly cooked bacon, and eggs made just the way we like them. Everything was fresh and made with care. It was the kind of breakfast that just make your day!

We both left feeling so content and comforted like we had just shared a meal at a dear friend’s house. Everything about the experience was sweet, simple, and full of that homestyle charm we were hoping for. We will definitely be back!

I ordered eggs sausage links and grits. The grits never have enough salt when they are cooked. Something was not right with the eggs and sausage. Something tasted old or gone bad. I only ate 2 bites and told server about. He apologized but did nothing about it. I paid full price with no discount. I don’t know what has changed but the quality of food has declined rapidly and significantly. They have lost my business
