We stopped in for lunch on our way through town on a motorcycle ride. I had the nacho supreme, and my wife had the shrimp basket with onion rings. The food was a disappointment. Shrimp was very small and mostly batter. Coleslaw was uneatable. Onion rings tasted like burnt oil.

Very good food. Our waitress was amazing if we needed anything she was right there with it, she was very friendly always had a smile on her face. The service was so good we tipped her 2× the amount the tip should have been. But when you have a great server you should tip them well. I will be going back again.

Came across this little jewel while doing a Charter Run THE RUSTY NAIL. Caught me by surprise the food was amazing and service was great. Prices are Very reasonable and everything was made fresh when i went. Granted we got there early around 10:30am/ Lunch Buffet starts at 11am. Gives off small town diner vibes. Decor was very mediocre could use some sprucing up However food Taste great and the customers and employees were pleasant and friendly! I enjoyed a Nice meal and cup of tea with my co workers! If your ever around town you should check this place out

P.s I also wish the sign stood out more and was more vibrant I didn’t even notice it until I was leaving turning the corner I was wondering the whole time like why isn’t the name on the building or in front….it sits off at the side and the colors are very dull

First time in the resturant. The onion rings were recommended. It has the atmosphere of a local place that has not been updated for 20 years. I ordered a chicken sandwich for $11.99. It did not even come with chips. The onion rings are an additional $4.99. The sandwich was nicely breaded and crispy. Not as large as a Popeye’s sandwich, but nice. The onion rings are very crunchy. Not any flavor to the breading, so they left a greasy after taste. I was charged for my tip twice which is annoying considering how overpriced the food already is. I probably won’t go out of my way to eat there again.

What a great find! We stopped for lunch. This wonderful place had the BEST olive burger! It was perfectly cooked, juicy, covered in chopped green olives, a melted slice of Swiss on a sweet steamed bun. Simple but oh, so good! Highly recommended! They seem to have a very popular, busy place because they have great food!

I tried their wet burrito and wow. I was impressed by the taste, amount, and when I asked for extra sauce, they gave an extra bowl. That’s what I’m talking about!! I was pleased to try it for the 1st time, so when I came back 2 days later I knew I had to give a review….great job my new burrito spot

We don’t ever go out to eat and have been meaning to stop at this place for some time. Moved to the area and drive by it all the time! I am so glad we did. The best food ever! Our whole experience with food and the whole place was great! We even took food home for the kiddos and they filled up! Plenty of portions and filling great food with lots of TLC! Thanks so much Rusty Nail!

August is awesome, prices are great. I had the Italian grinder, the bread was better than any at the national chains and was loaded with meats and toppings. No draft beers but a great bottled selection. Recently redone on the outside. My friend got the buffet and really liked the selections. This place is a family owned business and they really seem to take pride in the food. I’ve seen huge improvements over the last few years. We were in a small town without many options. They are always consistent with service and food quality. It’s a simple yet large menu, this can be a struggle for many kitchens. I think the execution has been great and there is something for everyone here. I like to see small independents flourish and they seem to be getting it right. If you want a place that won’t break the bank and still get food food and great service, check them out. It’s cozy and clean, my grinder was better than any I’ve had in years! Ty, Rusty Nail and August for serving me a great lunch. P.S. they hand dip their onion rings!

I’m really disappointed in our experience here. We ordered a Reuben, a Philly steak sandwich, and jalapeño poppers to start. The poppers were the first sign something was off — they had a strange taste and we couldn’t even finish one. We still tried to give lunch a chance, but both sandwiches were just as bad.

We let the waitress know right away, and she could clearly see that we had barely taken a bite. Unfortunately, we were still charged full price for food we could not eat. The bill was nearly $60, and we ended up leaving and getting Taco Bell across the street instead.

I really hope the restaurant improves the quality of their food and customer service, because this was a very disappointing experience. I would not recommend eating here at this time.

This was our first (and probably last) time here. We opted for the buffet against my better judgement (hubby wanted it, so it was just easier if I got it, too.). It was $16 ish each which is a great price, if the food is good.

Let’s start with the positive… The salad bar was phenomenal. There was good selection and everything seemed fresh. The only thing I found strange is there were no onions of any kind.

The service was good. We were seated quickly and got drinks and menus right away.

Most of the hot buffet was premade things like pizza rolls, dried up cheese balls, popcorn shrimp, dry chicken tenders, deep fried green beans (which tasted exactly like onion rings. Very odd.), canned green beans, etc.

The few things that did appear to be house made were terrible! There was presumably beef and noodles? It was the texture and probably the taste of canned dog food (I’ve never eaten dog food so I’m judging based off the smell.) The macaroni and cheese was the worst I’ve ever had (and I used to work in a prison. I’ve had some bad Mac and cheese). I don’t know what that “cheese” sauce was, but it was gross!!! I’m pretty sure it was dairy-free. The macaroni was also very mushy.

The mashed potatoes were good. The gravy was from a mix, but that doesn’t bother me.

There was a cold rice dish at the end of the buffet that was interesting (in the sauce cup in the photo). I tried asking the server what it was, but she didn’t seem to know, either. ‍♀️ ‍♀️

Now, on to the environment. It was HOT in the restaurant. I’m the person who has 3 hoodies and a jacket in the car. I don’t normally complain about heat. I took my hoodie off, eventually which helped, but it was still uncomfortably warm.

The place is old and kind of run down. I don’t know how it meets ADA regulations. I can’t imagine trying to get a wheelchair in the entrance, nor into the bathroom.

If I were ever to return, I definitely would order something off the menu and skip the buffet.

Note: they may have been busier than normal because the races were cancelled. Maybe they weren’t expecting so many people? I don’t know…
