Excellent food! Excellent service! I had the pulled pork tacos with the bottle cap jalapenos (I added 2 extra tacos)… Highly recommended!! Delicious food, definitely coming back!

General observations… Plenty of parking. No wait. Restaurant was clean, well lit and modern with a rustic decor. Food… Ordered the brisket. Nice smoke ring, moist and had a good smoke flavor. The pulled pork was slightly dry (but maybe that’s how it’s done here, I’m from the southeast) with a good smoke flavor. The fries were exceptionally good: it’s crisp on the outside, soft on the inside french fry in the shape of a potato chip; which makes them great for dipping. The pickle fries were pretty good. Spears, not chips, crispy batter on a deli pickle. If I could take away a half a star for the Jesus stuff on the wall. I would… but I can’t so, take this fifth star.

Edible Excellence

4th time eating at Rustler’s BBQ, and it never disappoints. If you’re traveling on I-40, take the time to stop at this great bbq joint. Ribs, brisket, bologna, turkey, and sausage are all very tasty. For sides, make sure to get the jalapeño bottle caps (a little spicy), fried okra, and potato salad.

This place is our go to place anytime we are in the area. We stopped there coming back from Hot Springs. It was Mother’s Day & was still good. Next month we will be back for some bologna! It’s the absolute best! The place is so nice & friendly staff. If anyone is ever in the area, it’s well worth the stop to eat. You won’t be disappointed.

We have been trying to get here for more than a year. The BBQ was worth the wait! Ribs were fall off the bone tasty, pulled pork and slices brisket were really great! Sides were amazing! Service was really good (they checked on us 4 times). Absolutely amazing! We’ll be back very soon!!!

Middle Cross Ranch

Very good food and great staff! I was a bit surprised at the cost of a brisket dinner (almost $20) but the quality and quantity are so good I’m not complaining. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is great as well. Top notch place I will definitely recommend to others!

Great atmosphere here. Was going to try the spicy Ruben just because I like Ruben’s. The girl at the counter wasn’t real convincing to get it. I told her I wanted to try lots of stuff then. Guy behind me told me to get the 5 meat platter. Ended up going with his recommendation. But I added some chop and a couple of ribs. Cost me $40.00 for what’s pictured. At first I felt like that was way too much money for what I was getting. But when it came out, I could have easily shared that with someone and we would have both been full. The bbq is good. It’s not great, but it was good. They have a pretty neat sauce dispenser. It’s like milking a cow! Lolol. Wish I would have gotten pics of that. Super friendly place. I was just passing through and seen that it had 4.7 stars. I was hoping for some better smoke flavor, but some don’t like too much smoke. I like to taste the flavor of the wood used. I would recommend going there. Seemed like really nice people behind the counter and place was very clean. Clean restrooms as well. I left full and left with a pretty big To go box.

The ribs were very tender and flavorful. Pulled pork was cold in the middle. The potato salad taste store bought. Coleslaw was ok. The baked beans were more like bbq beans with jalapeno, they were good tho. Sweet tea was delicious. The place is very clean and the employees were very nice. The dining had like pick nick tables very appropriate for a bbq place. All in all is a good place for bbq

This place is amazing! We stopped in on our way back home to Texas. My husband saw this place on google maps and decided to stop in. Didn’t expect much with it being small but let me tell you what, great things come in small packages! This was the best BBQ I have ever had and that’s saying something being from Texas. My husband and I both got the 1 meat meal that comes with 2 sides. My choice of meat was the slices brisket with a side of potato salad and baked beans. The brisket was juice and so tender. The potato salad tasted homemade. The baked beans have jalapeños and are a little sweet so you get a sweet and spicy kick but not to much of a kick. My husband got a side of fried jalapeño and the beaked beans. If you like real spicy get the fried jalapeños, I thought they were to spicy. Just my opinion but he loved them. His meat was the pulled pork. It was amazing as well. I usually don’t eat the pickles that come with BBQ plates but even that tasted homemade. If you are a big southern sweet tea fan, you have to try their sweet tea. I have not had sweet tea that good since leaving South Carolina. I had to stop myself from drinking the whole container of tea before our food came out. The place itself was homey, definitely a place locals meet frequently. The staff was friendly. You go to a window to order so I was not expecting them to come in and check on you once they brought your food but they did. I will definitely be back next time I head to Tulsa!
