Had dinner here this summer, felt it was a much better meal the year before but still had some great items. The Gnocchi, Garlic knots bread, and other pastas all tasted great. My Fettuccini Pasta had no fettuccini as they had to substitute in something else, the chicken was a bit burnt, and the sauce was more soupy this year for some reason. The kitchen did get backed up again just like last summer but the staff is nice and you can bring your own spirits to help fill in the wait time.

Another one of my favorites on the Island. We come here often as our place is just up the street. Always great food and friendly staff. Tough last minute reservations in season but good reservation system. My favorite dishes are the chicken parm (with Rosa sauce), Brooklyn bolognese and stuffed rigatoni while my son loves the meatballs. My only complaint is portions can be inconsistent in off season (maybe it’s just me but in summer I think there were more slices of chicken, but they more than made up for it with extra pasta so never left feeling hungry). Shrimp app and flounder franceses special. Always a great meal.

The food was incredible. I got the chicken vodka parm and it was easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The bread was fresh, the chicken was cooked perfectly, and the vodka sauce with all that melted cheese? Unreal. Every bite was worth the $21 with no complaints at all on the price.
The pasta dish at our table was just as good. Flavor-packed and generous with the ricotta. You can tell they actually care about what they’re serving.
Hospitality was top tier too. The staff was friendly and on point even with how busy it was. Only thing I’ll say is that this place gets packed so make a reservation ahead of time unless you enjoy bonding with strangers in the waiting area. I almost learned someone’s entire life story before my table was ready.
If you’re down the shore and want quality Italian, this spot is absolutely worth it.

Very unpleasant experience first and foremost not very welcoming ,
fettuccine Alfredo pasta was very bland , not freshly made pasta it was all glued together.
Sausage pasta with brocoli tastes sour and has a weird after taste , not to forget the slice of lemon I’ll let the picture speak for it self , and the whole plate looks like it was somebody else’s leftover that was served to us . We waited two hours thinking we were gonna have an amazing experience but unfortunately it felt like everything was made in a rush since we were the last guests .

We had high hopes, to start with the broccoli rabe however fresh, were crunchy cold and the garlic was burned. The fish sauce zappa de peche had canned clams a few tiny real clams and even smaller muscles. All over the top was grated cheese. The next meal was chicken saltimbocca. The chicken was fine but some of the prosciutto was burned.
I was hoping dessert would shine a light on this experience but unfortunately the slice of cake was still partially frozen. The frosting was tasty but the cake was dry. I won’t ever get another 29th wedding anniversary dinner again but I can sure say we won’t forget it.

Our first night LBI. I made reservations about 3 weeks before. BYOB. Food was good and reasonably priced for LBI. Service was very friendly. And the Aquarium was unexpected but nice.

Russo’s is a super good eatery. Atmosphere is nice, service is always prompt and friendly and the food is really good. The only small detractor is that it’s small and there’s almost always a wait. But the waits aren’t usually too long, they often put pizza out in the waiting area for people to chew on while they wait, and there’s a G gauge train that runs around the ceiling which is fun to watch (if they have it running). Russo’s is BYOB which is nice. A really good place, highly recommended. Erin is an awesome server.

Absolutely fantastic!
From the beginning to the end, for the table was the pizza Bianca and sausage and broccoli rabe that was top notch, a couple of the over sized and freshest of salads, the scallop special was perfect, the pork chop Saltimbocca was the winner of the evening.
Sarah our server was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly and very professional.
We all had an over sized cookie with ice cream that ended this Great meal.
Russo’s is my new number 1 on the island.

Great place for a nice meal with your family. Especially with Kids. Kids meal of Pasta and Meatball for a 3 and 4 year old was awesome and leftovers feed them tonight! Our Sunday Gravy , Brooklyn Bolognese and Red on Top crispy pizza also was enough for leftovers for tonight. Also been there many times with no kids and was very good. Love the whole staff.
