Social Profile:

Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

Fast-food chain known for namesake German sandwiches, plus burgers, onion rings & crinkle-cut fries.

Had to try it as it’s regional and I’d never been. Quantity of frings was generous. Overall it was fine, but nothing for me to get excited about. I’ve had better onion rings and better fries. The psuedo cheese melt was fine but it’s better in Philly, though to be fair, they didn’t call it that.

Wish there was a 0 star available. First time seeing this restaurant and looked it up online. Food looked ok so decided to stop. Got the original and wow, nasty. I’m talking really nasty. Couldn’t take more than a few bites. Almost like they’re trying to copy White Castles burger flavor and failing. The chicken wraps were pathetic and chili was bland. Fries were great. Best thing we ate.

Don’t bother eating here.

Fast food for runza sandwiches. Stopped by to try the sandwich since I’m not from the area. I had the mushroom & Swiss version. A bit salter than I’d like, but an ok sandwich otherwise. The Frings (combo of fries & onion rings) were pretty good. Crispy, but not greasy.

This place was extremely clean and the staff was very friendly. The fries were outstandingly delicious. The burger was fresh and juicy. I had the double cheeseburger, which was just the right size. This is a fantastic place to get a quick bite to eat if you’re in the area. We were just passing through, but if we’re in the area again, I would, without a doubt, stop here again. I highly recommend not passing this place up for a quick and delicious bite to eat.

Classic Nebraska fast food restaurant serving Runzas, a handheld meat pie with ground beef and cabbage. Also some of the best burgers and my favorite- frings – a combo order of onion rings and crinkle cut French fries. Only the drive through was open in their new Ogallala location for this visit.

Food was hot. They almost forgot ranch but got that at the window before leaving drive thru to realize my wrap wasn’t in bag. Luckily wrap was worth the wait and noticed before leaving.

This was my first time trying the Nebraska signature Runza before. It really wasn’t bad. I would say that it’s more cabbage than beef in its beef filling and wished there was more meat in it overall. I was able to at least taste the potential for what a premium Runza would taste like if it was high end or even home made. Not bad for a fast food meal.
