Social Profile:

Runza Restaurants Serving real food requires a real commitment. It all begins bright and early each morning. Instead of serving breakfast, we’re making homemade bread dough from scratch. We’re hand-slicing onions. We’re shredding lettuce for our salads. We’re stirring up homemade chili and fresh ground beef filling for Runza® Sandwiches. It’s a labor-intensive process that doesn’t let up until long after closing time. We know there are easier ways to do all this, but our commitment to doing things the right way is as real as our food, and that’s not something we’re going to change.

Fast-food chain known for namesake German sandwiches, plus burgers, onion rings & crinkle-cut fries.

Here’s a professional and friendly review you can post for the Runza location in York, Nebraska:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five-Star Review for Runza in York, NE

Stopped by the Runza in York and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was fresh, hot, and exactly what you expect from a quality Nebraska staple. We ordered a couple of classic Runza sandwiches along with their signature crinkle-cut fries—everything was cooked perfectly and served promptly.

The restaurant itself was clean, modern, and bright, with plenty of seating and large windows that let in lots of natural light. Staff were polite and efficient, and the entire place felt well-managed and welcoming.

Special mention to how easy it was to read the menu—clear layout with good combo options, sides, and desserts. It’s great to see they still offer the classic Runza sandwiches while also having a solid burger and chicken lineup.

Highly recommend this location for a quick bite or a casual meal on the road. Great food, friendly service, and a clean environment—everything you’d want in a local favorite.

We were driving through Nebraska and friend told us to stop at a Runza. We chose the York location and so happy that we did. Kelly was so nice and gave us great information about the menu and history of the chain. She even made the onion rings herself today. Bought 10 frozen ones to take with us. Thank you, Kelly!!

I stopped on the way home from State basketball with my Elm Creek HS band last night. I had about 15 hungry kids who came in, and we didn’t realize it was 10 minutes until the dining room closed. They gave us such amazing service and were so polite and kind even though we came at closing time. Thank you so much York Runza!!

First time trying this spot out. I’d go back – it was pretty good, but it was also kinda trashy in a good way? Cheap, bad for you, great on a road trip. Definitely a 3/5 in the best way possible

OK, so I pulled up to drive-through and I’ve never ever eaten at a runza before. I told the young lady to hang on a minute I’ve never eaten here before and without skipping a beat she started telling me about their sandwiches and what’s in them . She was absolutely without a doubt the best drive-through person I have run into in a long, long time her name is Miley. I hope her boss sees this. She is great very professional very sweet. Offered suggestions. Please give her some recognition for this because nowadays, you don’t see this at a fast food restaurant great job Miley. I wish I lived here in Nebraska and wasn’t just passing through on my way back to Utah I would come to Runza again just because of you. The food is actually very very good.

I recently visited Ranza in York and tried their Swiss Mushroom Runza sandwich with onion rings and runch sauce. The experience was great, and I could tell the food was freshly made.
The Swiss Mushroom Runza sandwich was delicious. The mushrooms and Swiss cheese went well together, and the bread was soft and fresh. It was clear that Ranza uses quality ingredients, which made the sandwich very satisfying.
The onion rings were crispy and tasty, with just the right amount of seasoning. The runch sauce, a mix of ranch and some extra flavor, was the perfect dip for the onion rings.
Ryan, the cashier, was both professional and friendly, making sure I had a pleasant experience.

Overall, Ranza in York is a great place to enjoy homemade, fresh Midwest food. Whether you’re from the area or just visiting, I highly recommend stopping by for a delicious and comforting meal.

If you want a real sandwich, stop here!! The bread was soft, the meat was flavorful, the spice was just right. And the service was spot on. He even brought us our food with a smile. I would definitely come back

Delicious Runza !! The runza is a regional cuisine of Nebraska, with some commentators calling it “as Nebraskan as Cornhusker football.”
A runza (also called a bierock, krautburger, or kraut pirok) is a yeast dough bread pocket with a filling consisting of beef, cabbage or sauerkraut, onions, and seasonings.

Place was clean and had great customer service. We were just disappointed with food over all. Flavorless. Worst onion rings I’ve eaten. Best part were the crunchy crinkle fries. We love trying new places but this was a one & done for us. Maybe our taste buds weren’t made for this
I’m sure others love it
