Prices are higher than I like but if you love planes you watch them take off and land from either the dinning area or patio.

Lets start with the positives, you do get enjoy seeing the airplane’s taken off and land. Now for my order, 8 Buffalo wings($9), you only get Buffalo flavor sauce and it comes in maybe a 4oz cup maybe and the same portion or ranch dressing. The wings are not shook in the sauce before serving. My food arrived with 7 very small wings laying on a leaf of lettuce. I would have gladly chose my due wings over the leaf of lettuce. Now added with a coke ordered with no ice and brought with ice. Not super pleased total was a little over $17 with out the tip. I will be stopping at Buckeys before visiting there. P.S. you can still watch the plans from the parking lot.

I forgot exactly what I ordered but I do remember that it was delicious. It was fun to watch the airplanes arrive with guests coming in for lunch. A good out-of-the-way location, especially if you are riding a motorcycle somewhere to have lunch. The odor came out to greet us at our table to ensure we were happy. The server was spot on.

Great views and excellent service. The owner checked in regularly and offered a chance to view the planes parked outside in person. My kid loved that. The food was very good and excellent value for the quality.

Quaint Country Restaurant with a View
Nestled in Angleton, TX countryside, there is a quaint little restaurant that offers a unique dining experience. As you approach, you can see small airplanes taking off and landing on a nearby airstrip. The restaurant itself is right in front of the runway and you can watch the airplanes and helicopters taking off and landing from inside the restaurant or you can enjoy the view from a fenced in patio that seems to be an arms reach from the parked planes.
For my appetizer, I ordered the fried calamari. The calamari was perfectly cooked, with a light and crispy batter. The accompanying marinara sauce was flavorful and tangy. For my main course, I ordered the baked redfish with fresh vegetables. The fish was flaky and tender, and the vegetables were fresh and tasty.
My only complaint is that the fish was not cooked thoroughly in the middle. I brought this to the attention of my server, and they quickly apologized and offered to recook the fish.
Despite this minor setback, I would still highly recommend this restaurant. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is charming, and the views of the airplanes and helicopters are awesome. My grands loved the experience. If you are looking for a unique, family dining experience, be sure to check out this quaint country restaurant.

The price of the food does not reflect the quality. My grandmother couldn’t eat her chicken fried steak because it did not taste right and the gravy did not look like gravy. I would usually have said something but the waitress was so nice I did not have the heart to tell her that this is probably the worst food I’ve ever had at a restaurant. It was cool watching the planes outside though

Burger was big and good. $20+ steak was inedible, tough, overcooked, strange almost rotten flavor. They took it back and discounted me a few dollars as I ate 3 small (jumbo) shrimp, they were good. Charged me for untouched sides, premium price, about $6.99 each for veggies and baked potato.
I expected a decent edible steak. Was disappointed.

Flew into Angleton’s Texas Gulf Coast Regional Airport with some friends for lunch at the Runway Cafe. Two of us had the fried shrimp. The other had the fried catfish. The service was friendly and quick and the fried shrimp were very good! My friend said his catfish was good as well. The coleslaw and fries were also good. Will definitely return for lunch sometime.

What a great place. Food is really good. Quite a varied menu. The staff was so pleasant! Really cool place to see some fun planes come in and out. Everything we had was very tasty. Clean place. Great food and kind service, how can you go wrong?
