Cozy south of town spot to get gourmet food! Fancy booze and knowledgeable servers. The menu is crafty and delightful and they’re more than willing to make special things if you’ve got allergies or want a vegan or veg option that’s not represented. 10/10

Oh my gosh. This was such an incredible dining experience! We are from out of town and came to Indiana for a wedding. Not gonna lie, we were a little nervous about finding good food in the Midwest but this place was an absolute gem! We ordered the oysters, chicken skewer, ham and shells, green pasta, pork chop, and pistachio coffee cake, as well as some drinks. Everything was truly fantastic!

Hidden gem of Fort Wayne! One thing we love about Rune is the rotating menu. Anything we’ve ever ordered has been unique culturally experience, even if it wasn’t our favorite dish we’ve ever had. There’s a finite attention to detail and the staff are knowledgeable about the dishes. The drinks are top notch and the vibes are impeccable. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

I was able to host a group of thirty friends for a lovely happy hour and dinner at Rune on a Wednesday. The dining room staff was incredibly attentive from working with Kayla to make the reservation to Dylan and Reagan serving the guests. The kitchen crew and bartender Mae served up delicious bites and bevvies for all to enjoy. The entire group enjoyed themselves and I would do it again in a heartbeat. My faves were the buttered noodles(just try them!), the skewers and the poutine. I am already scheming to go back for more poutine!!! Love what Chef Sean is doing in my neighborhood. Worth a trip to the 07 to visit FOR SURE!!!

A lot of thought seems to go into each dish. Has all the new trends of microgreens and foraged ingredients. The cocktails have infusions that you wouldn’t always think of such as cilantro infused tequila or Sweet Pea infused vodka. The Midwest Mai Thai was the best. Also got the Honey Creek which was particularly refreshing.

These turkey fritters they had were not overly breaded but thin and crispy outside, and loved drizzling it with the gravy. Their pasta of course was on point. Love the green spaghetti which was delightfully Savory yet tart. The gnocchi was quite Savory with all kinds of microgreens I wasn’t sure of in flowers adding an earthy undertone. Wish we had known about the half-off spaghetti hour as we just missed it. Anyway certainly worth a stop. Service generally quite good. Have an open kitchen that you could look into. Oh also the menu is small so I didn’t sit there forever agonizing between what I want to pick. 20+ a plate.
Wish we had also gotten the Oysters; they looked really scrumptious.

4.6/5

I had an amazing time at Rune! The menu is ever-changing, and offers new, artistic dishes that will definitely send you taste buds far into orbit! I got the Green Spaghetti, and was amazed by the strong, savory flavors. The important note here is that everything that was made was from fresh ingredients, even the noodles. It’s obvious in the tastes and textures of the dishes. I also tried the Ricotta Gnocchi, and that was easily in my top three dishes. Also, I’d recommend the chicken legs, and a sweet yet punchy lemon drop. The service was amazing, and the staff were amazing! I will secondly be returning here SOON!

Had oysters, smoked tongue, tagliatelle, and eton mess for dessert. 5-6 was happy hour, so $3 oysters and 1/2 cocktails. Excellent quality ingredients and best flawless execution.

Went last night for the first time. It was incredible. The menu is small, and the offerings are definitely unique (especially for Fort Wayne) and everything we had SO GOOD. Could not have been more delicious. We will be back for sure.

It was almost perfect! The food was fabulous. The pork belly had deep-layered flavors and textures, 10/10. The rigatoni was cooked to perfection. The small cucumber plate was delicious!

The only issue I had with the place is that it’s LOUD. If it’s mostly full, which it seems to be, the one big room filled with hard surfaces makes it very difficult to hear your table mates. I might bring my AirPods next time to use noise-cancelling.

A great, unique experience in Fort Wayne that’s worth it to try something you never have before. We had fantastic service, and my pork belly entree was fantastic.

However the Tri-Tip, while cooked perfectly and paired with a delicious pan sauce, didn’t meld with bokchoy in a satisfying manner. The tempora fried oyster mushroom had an amazing texture that was overpowered by the acid punch of the mustard and pickles. And the cocktail we ordered was truly one of the least drinkable things I’ve had since college.

But listen, I’ll always award points for ambition and Rune has it in spades. Combined with a great atmosphere and passionate servers, it’s well worth checking out. I’d love to see the menu get tightened up or a tasting menu option to get quick hits of the innovation.

We’ll be back for sure, but know what your in for, because they still have a few edges to sand down.
