Addictive Cabbage pizza, yes it’s real and you definitely need to try it. Pro-tip, roll the last of the slice into the sesame seed crust, incredible!

Incredible pizza and lovely staff! Both styles are perfectly executed, and their innovations are inspiring! They’ve got all the pizza basics down to a t, but are also really creative with toppings and crusts (my wife and I were blown away by their sesame seed-laden crust on the NY slice today). We are so full from eating so much, but all we can talk about is going back for more. Highly recommend!

I wanted to see what all the hype was about and Birdies still surpassed my expectations. I got a slice of Detroit style spicy pepperoni and it was truly delicious. The sauce was particularly impressive and the pizza was cooked to perfection. For my liking, the only thing I would change would be maybe to be a little less heavy on the parmesan. Other than that, I just wish this place was open for lunch and had the space it deserves instead of having pretty much no seating with lines running out the door.

Best pizza in Philomath, hands down! They use high quality ingredients and the dough is fermented so it’s not a gut bomb. The Detroit style is like a pillowy focaccia with perfect crispy edges, and the NY style foldable, air pockets, slightly charred goodness. Seating is extremely limited, so I usually get takeout, there wasn’t delivery. BUT NOW you can get your pizza delivered to Compton Family Wines a few blocks over and enjoy pizza with your wine. perfect Sunday outing!

Delicious! The mushroom pizza is excellent, our favorite. The Bianca and sausage are also very good. Margherita was just so so. I love that they’ll do half and half for any pizza too.

This is excellent pizza. Definitely the best in Benton, Lincoln, Linn, Lane, and I’m pretty sure Polk counties. The crust is perfect. Quite possibly the best pizza in Oregon. I am so glad to have this place in Philomath!

Can’t believe such a good pizza spot showed up in my little town! Turns it was started by a chef from the local organic farm-to-table restaurant! The vibe is immaculate and the pizzas are delicious. Grab a New York slice for lunch, or a Detroit pie for family dinner. Ordering in person is ideal but they have other ordering options, too. To top it all off, their gluten free Detroit style crust is a superb alternative to the wonderful flavor and textural experience that is their original Detroit style dough. I can’t really tell the difference, except that my wife’s tummy doesn’t hurt afterwards!
Gotta give it a try if you like good pizza!

I’m in Oregon for a few days from St Louis and have been staying in Eugene and had an itch for a good NY slice. This place popped up as less than an hour away, and the reviews meant I had to take a trip. Boy howdy am I glad I did. Ordered a margherita ny style pizza and consumed the entire thing in the car before I made it back to the hotel. The crust is the star. It’s brilliant. Able to firm up but well stretched and rested for all the air bubbles to keep it light. I’ve traveled all over the country and I’m struggling to think of a crust I liked as much. It really shines on the margherita as it’s not competing with loads of cheese and / or other loads of other toppings.
10/10, it’s a must stop if you’re looking for NY style and anywhere within an hour.
My personal preference… I like my pizzas slightly overdone, especially for margherita, where the crust needs to hold sauce and stay firm enough a car ride. I’d probably ask to have it left in the oven for an extra minute over whatever their normal range is next time I’m out this way. That’s only for the margherita ny pie and again, just a personal preference
Side note
A lovely record player was playing delightful music. I could’ve taken a nap if they wouldn’t have mined. Was a nice vibe inside

Absolutely incredible pizza and top-notch service! There was a glitch in their online system that caused 25 orders to come through for a 6:30 pickup—far more than their usual volume. Despite the chaos, the team hustled non-stop to get as many orders out as quickly as possible, all while maintaining the same 5-star quality they’re known for. This kind of dedication and work ethic is rare, and it deserves serious recognition. Easily the best pizza around. Do yourself a favor and stop in—let’s support this local gem and help keep it thriving for years to come
