We came for the Italian beefs. This is a really good Italian beef, similar to Al’s or Johnnies beefs. The meat alone has a very nice flavor, the sweet and hot peppers really adds to the flavor, the gravy just pulls it all together giving it a delicious taste.
I will suggest to request your bun not to be sliced into, as since their meat is shredded it kinda just falls out every where. Request a fork, to scoop it out of your gravy boat.
The sandwich is a bit pricy for the size, its 18 bucks. I wish it was more in the $10 dollar range, because i would definitely be seen at the shop more often.
Atmosphere one star, booth seats uncomfortable, tables needed cleaned, not just wiped off, but actually cleaned with a soapy cloth.
Employees were great, brought out food out to the table.
Would love for them to add pizza puffs and Italian ice to the menu.

Wow, what a gem! Love this new deli in the Dayton neighborhood just over the river from Cinci. Visited Rump & Roll on a Saturday around lunch. There was a healthy line but the R&R team keeps everything moving quickly. We ordered a Reuben and a Hot Italian, both were fantastic and piled high with the freshest deli meats.
The soups of the day – Broccoli Cheese and Split Pea – were super flavorful and hearty. We also had the house-seasoned chips and the carrot cake, both were incredible. Can’t wait to go back and work our way through the menu.
This is exactly the kind of deli we’ve been looking for: delicious sandwiches, great sides, impeccable desserts. They also have breakfast sandwiches and a grab & go area – we picked up a bacon-wrapped meatloaf to take home, but literally ate it same-day because it looked so good (and was). Dayton is such a cute downtown area, and there’s plenty of free parking nearby. Say hi to Chef Tavis when you’re there!

The Rump and Roll is a five-star establishment all around. Their food is stupendous and delicious in every way. The item I purchased was the hot and spicy Italian beef sandwich, after having been graciously offered a sample by the proprietor. The staff was friendly and quick to offer samples. Another sample we were offered, the goetta, was so good that we returned later that day to purchase a pound to take home.

Such a gem! So excited this new deli has opened in Dayton. The breakfast sandwiches (available all day!) are delicious, and every lunch sandwich and soup/side we’ve tried has been excellent. The Cuban and Spicy Italian were both great, and the breakfast sandwiches with sausage or goetta were both worth ordering again too.
The people working there are super friendly, and there are some tables available to eat inside or it’s easy to order to-go, too.

This place… THIS PLACE! I cannot express the amount of love I have for Rump and Roll. It is such an incredible establishment with savory sandwiches, pasta salads, grab-n-go’s, fresh cut meats, local products, and the incredible owner and team that make this delicatessen so incredible. I am lucky to live right up the road but would happily drive 100 miles if I didn’t. Their prices are affordable and worth every penny. I highly recommend their pimento cheese dip/spread and Kentucky Cuban. Don’t take this place for granted. GO!

Great food and friendly staff. Definitely returning another great place in Dayton/Bellevue areas to eat. ! I had the charcuterie sandwich, my mom had the roasted chicken sandwich which had the added bonus of ham and bacon on it, both were amazing.! The sides were also super yummy very fresh broccoli salad had a little kick to it which I loved and my mom really enjoyed the potato salad. Will definitely be returning!

I stopped in and got the Hot & Spicy Italian sandwich, and it was absolutely outstanding. The bread was super fresh and the flavor balance was spot on — just the right kick of heat without overpowering the classic Italian flavors. The meats were high quality, the toppings were generous and well put together (not just slapped on like some places), and every bite was packed with flavor.
Service was friendly, and the shop itself felt clean and welcoming. It’s rare to find a sandwich this well executed — clearly made with care, not just rushed. I’ll definitely be back to try more. Highly recommend this place if you’re into bold, flavorful sandwiches done right.
