Not claiming to be a Sonoran Dog aficionado BUT this place delivers up delicious dogs. I’ve had this place on my short list way too long, so I’m glad we finally made time to take lunch here. Very friendly folks running this place and they are connected to the brick and mortar restaurant across the parking lot , Los Chiliplones… that matters because if you are with someone who is a non hotdog fan you have options! Delicious, fresh and tasty with the right blend of all the fixings … I enjoyed that they ensure a nice amount of mustard .

Ruiz Hot Dogs Los Chipilones serves up a delightful twist on the classic hot dog with their Sonoran hot dogs.
Nestled in a soft bolillo bun, these dogs are a flavor explosion.
Topped with a medley of fresh ingredients like diced tomatoes, beans onions, and a drizzle of creamy mayonnaise and mustard.
Each bite is a perfect balance of savory and tangy. The fresh toppings keep it light and refreshing.
The portion size is generous, making it a great value for the price. Whether you’re a hot dog aficionado or just looking for a tasty street food experience, Ruiz’s Sonoran hot dogs are a must-try!

I come to Tucson for work quite often, every time I try and get my Sonoran dogs for lunch, I’ve tried quite a few places some good, some not so good… Oh how thankful I am that I found Ruiz. This is my new spot, hands down this is where you should get your Sonoran dog fix doesn’t matter if your local or visiting from out of town this stop is a MUST. Everything about this stop is great, the gentlemen have great service serving with a smile. The trailer is conveniently located with open windows and views of beautiful mountains.
Thank you so much guys! See you soon!

Their Sonoran dogs are my favorite! Buns are toasted perfectly and their relish and other toppings are so good! If you don’t have cash you can pay for them with card at the taco shop across the parking lot and bring your receipt over. The tacos there are also really good! Orders always come out fast and their eating area in the trailer is always super clean!

Best in town. Toasted buns, crispy bacon, excellent green salsa – I’ve tried all the ones people talk about. This is my go to time and time again.

This is not my favorite location for Sonoran Hot Dogs. They only have one type of hot dog price 4 dollars. They also have a large selection of drinks from soda to water. When it comes to the hot dog I notice the bacon being burn and the hot dog is smaller compare to other locations in Tucson. I notice the the salsa counter having some cheese on the ice (picture attached). The service was acceptable yet unlikely I be returning.

Maybe the most authentic and tasty Sonoran dog in the Old Pueblo. Definitely in my top 3. Nice covered area for dinning. Extra sauces available. Good vibes from the grill. Super fast. All around a great goto for a quick, delicious bite. I had two dogs con todo. They were awesome! I’ll be back.

I found this gem on someone’s list of interesting places to eat in Tucson. We love loaded hot dogs, but I had never heard of a Sonoran hot dog before. Once I did, I had to try it. It was the consensus that this is the best in Tucson.

It’s cash only. Hot dogs are $3.50. The menu has one thing: the hot dog with the toppings listed. Get it fully loaded as recommended. It’s a cart with some tables to eat at.

It was a damn good hot dog. The bun seemed like Texas toast and was really good. Beans on a hot dog sounded weird, but it worked.

I couldn’t recommend this hole in the wall more.
