My group was in town for a wedding and went to Rudy’s to catch the Penn State game. We were the opposing fans. The staff and regular crowd were very welcoming, with some good natured ribbing. Food and drinks were affordable, and the food was delicious. The menu is small, mostly bar sandwiches and pizza. The super dog is their specialty, and my friends said it was to die for.

I love a good classic bar. This place seems to have a lot of pride too. The bar tenders were spot on and super friendly. Cheap beer, food smelled great. Seems like a simple, but tasty menu. Will be stopping in again.

A great old neighborhood bar, with super friendly service, good prices on drinks, and a limited but very good selection of food. I had their Super, which is a cheese dog wrapped in crispy bacon… incredible! Older crowd during the earlier hours, and ESU crowd later. With a visit.

First time visiting in well over 20 years, and it looks and feels exactly the same, which added to the outstanding experience. The bartender, Duke, was a great guy and always had a cold beer ready. I highly recommend Rudy’s!

From the minute we walked in we felt like we belonged here. The other patrons and staff were so nice. We had an honest solid hot dog, a burger, and a liverwurst sandwich of all things! Our meal and two beers were $20. What a deal. The locals were very inclusive and welcomed us. It’s a neighborhood bar for crying out loud so don’t expect like fancy atmosphere. Cash only but they have an ATM

I go here about once a week with friends. The bartenders are great! The beer isn’t too expensive, but they have few options on tap. Plenty of good cheap food to buy. The bar is clean. Lot’s of good things to say about this place. Sometimes there’s live music (even until 12:30am when the bar is packed). I recommend checking it out.
