I decided to give Rudy’s another try. I grew up going to Rudy’s. I would order the same thing every time….medium shell tacos with no salad and it would be pouring over the top with cheese.
Now, it’s $11 for three tacos and its a shell with a thin line of meat with almost no cheese. Don’t tell me this is inflation, corn tortillas, ground beef and shredded yellow cheese are not so expensive that they have to do this!
This isn’t a one time thing. It had been like this the last four times I’ve been and so I should probably have known better than to keep trying. Its just hard to let go of childhood favorites.
After posting this, I read some other reviews. Perhaps they might consider actually putting something in their tacos shells other than lettuce after one, let alone many, bad reviews complaining about it. Why wouldnt they make sure this doesnt happen ever again after even one bad review? Because its on purpose, of course.
I don’t even want to take them up on their offer to make it right, that’s how bad it has been the four times I’ve gone over the past 2 years. I’ve certainly learned my lesson, finally.

Two of my friends and I ate here I ordered a steak burrito had a conversation with the waitress about wanting it to be taco truck burrito and wrapped, it came rolled with both ends open, and I had to re-wrap it in order to pick it up. It did not taste good. This is not Mexican food. Period.
They up charged us for chips and salsa and guacamole, even though we ordered three dinners , the waitress failed to mention we were paying per item, most egregious of which was the chips and salsa charge I think a 4-6 dollar soda.
We ended up spending $30 each and left a $10 tip, that’s pretty pricey for the quality of food. I mean, you can get a steak dinner for $25.99 elsewhere.

Ordered the lunch platter today for lunch specified when ordered for flour soft shell not corn and the enchilada was supposed to be beef not steak and they put to much cheese on top like rubber won’t be back for a long time and feeling sick after eating it

It’s been awhile since I’ve had Rudy’s! We no longer live in the area, and they have my absolute favorite shredded cheese. This time I also tried their frozen strawberry take out margarita. I was presently surprised at the packaging! It was very cute and very tasty!

I visited Rudy’s Tacos in East Moline and overall, it was just okay. This location compared to others isn’t the best, and the atmosphere could really use an update. The food was decent, but a bit on the bland side, nothing that stood out as amazing. The service was fine, nothing memorable but still friendly enough. It’s not a place I would rave about, but I might come back if I’m in the area. It just didn’t offer anything that felt special. 3/5 stars.

It’s been awhile since I was here & I know why, the food still sucks! We did carry out & the enchiladas were a big blob of goop. The burritos were fine because there wasn’t any cheese on it. A disappointing meal & we won’t go back.

Place an order with them for delivery absolutely no salad. I make sure I specify that only meat and cheese . Got tacos very little meat and cheese. lettuce tomato added when I specifically said only meat and cheese!!!!

Worst so called Mexican food ever. People don’t care about customers and they really don’t care about the food. And if you get to go order it’s way worse. They give you cold hard food that people have to pay a lot for. I suggest stay away from this gross microwave fake Mexican food. There are way way better places to eat. Don’t waste your time or money
