Diner mainstay offers comfort fare, from pancakes to pie, in a simple, country-style space.

Rudy’s Diner has been a staple of Clarksville, TN for many years. The food, service and atmosphere is really good. The entire menu is fantastic. The open face roast beef with mashed potatoes and coleslaw is wonderful.

What in the ihop we buy everything canned breakfast is this place? Take the drive to Mama Ds in Ashland. Dont even know where to get started! Staff seemed overwhelmed and didn’t even take the order correctly. Only thing this place had going for the food was the the smoked sausage. Pancakes tasted like it came from a box and couldn’t even cut them with a fork. Gravy so damn thick it was definitely canned and heating in a warmer. Very disappointed as this place had high recommendations

We came in with a pretty big group. They accommodated us quickly. The food came out fast and hot and was so good. The price was not bad at all. It was reasonable and the potions are good.

Rudy’s is the kind of place Clarksville folks have loved for years. It used to be over on Madison Street, but they moved down to Riverside Drive not too long ago—maybe a year or so back. Same friendly faces, same solid breakfast, but with more space inside.
This is a favorite spot for locals—family-owned, with servers who’ve been there forever and treat you like you’ve been coming for years even if it’s your first visit. The food’s classic diner fare, always hot and hearty, and the prices reasonable. Clean bathrooms, a welcoming vibe, and plenty of regulars who clearly don’t need a menu.
If you’re tired of chain places and want something with some actual Clarksville character, Rudy’s is solid.

Being the understanding & caring person that I know I am, I struggled to post this bad review for Rudy’s diner; however, we had to wait for a table so the hostess gives us a pager. While it’s chilly outside we decide to wait in the car. As we wait we decide to back the car in the parking space to avoid sun exposure, twenty minutes later no sooner than we get turned around the pager buzzes on the dash, we look over to see the hostess Hunter at our window tell us: “We do not have a table for you yet, but if you’re leaving you cannot take our pager with you!” Really? We came to eat breakfast here, why would we drive off with a pager that clearly has one sole purpose! We basically were treated as if we were thieves! I have skimmed the reviews for this diner & many of them are very similar. For the most part the food here is not that great nor is it prepared with love, many say only by microwave. So, with this being stated, maybe Hunter saved us from spending money on terrible food. We will not ever return here. To keep an establishment properly functioning has a lot to do with the folks you hire! If you are going to work in public service you cannot be rude to others!

So far, another country kitchen which is a good place to go when you want to have breakfast as they’re serving all day.
Foods were deliciously made and affordable. Service is good and it’s always expected there will be time waiting especially when it’s busy, it happens anywhere you go. Just have something to drink like coffee to while waiting. We absolutely be coming back here.

Philadelphia cheesesteak omelette was delicious, service was quick and friendly. Dropped a star because the coffee was meh, my corner booth was broken, and the bathroom door would not lock. I’ll be back for sure though.

Great little home town diner. Its hard to find this type of diner anymore. I had the bacon cheeseburger and a coke. It really hit the spot. Its a small diner with maybe 10, 4 person booths and 3 or 4 tables. There was already a party of 8-10 people occupying two tables pushed together when we arrived. We had a party of 6, so they scooted a table up to a booth for us. Great hometown atmosphere.

This place would have been amazing. But it was freezing cold. I’m talking like 50 F. Aside from that it was everything that you want when you are looking for a dinner meal. The server we had was also amazing. That being said, there was another server there who was a bump on a log. In my opinion her very presence made service slower. I asked my server about it, and she was to give to tell me why they put up with the lazy one, but I figure I can let the owner, who is also the head cook, know that the customers are not impressed. Aside from that, this was a 100% great place to eat. You might ask why I am giving the 1 server so much grief, I will let you know, her attitude was so bad, that other than the freezing cold, it distracted me from the really good food. And I don’t think any company should tolerate 2 such easy things to fix, from really giving their customers the best in Clarksville experience. I intend to go back next month, and if these 2 things are improved, I will update and give a new review. I’m not a Karen really, she was just that bad.
