Brisket, ribs & sides served up cafeteria-style in a no-frills setting with indoor picnic tables.

Texas BBQ is a world of food all by itself. For me it comes to tenderness and taste. When we need a quick good BBQ lunch it’s Rudy’s. It’s fast, alot of choices and good.
My wife had the potatoes stuffed with jalapeno sausage and a side of coleslaw. I’m usually a sliced brisket kinda of guy, but today I tried their smoked turkey sandwich with a side of their green chili stew. It was good, but I’ll go back to the brisket.
P.S. service was good and everyone behind the counter are very friendly.
P.P.S. my suggestion for an upgrade would be add a third sauce, spicy and sissy are tasty, but they need to add another flavor…in my opinion.
Bouna Appetite!

Rudy’s Restaurant in Lubbock exceeded our expectations! The food was fantastic, especially the beef brisket and corn on the cob (don’t forget to ask for butter – it’s a game-changer! ). The staff were super friendly and attentive, with one server going above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. When I mentioned the brisket was a bit dry, she promptly replaced it with a fresh order .
Her exceptional customer service made a lasting impression, and I even returned the next day to order a large takeout for my family back in Connecticut. If you’re looking for great BBQ and top-notch service, Rudy’s is the place to go!

I had high hopes for this place but sadly it really did disappoint me smh the prices are out of range for the amount of food you get like I got the “Jumbo Potatoes’ literally just a regular potato with barely any meat cheese sour cream that’s it I recommend getting a potato else were like at a Kellys or something. It’s little the same price at Kelly’s and you get so much more there it’s like 3-4 potatos put together with everything not just 3 things smh

Rudy’s BBQ is a true Texas classic! The brisket is tender and full of flavor, and the ribs and sausage are just as amazing. Their BBQ sauce is the perfect mix of sweet and spicy, and the sides—especially the creamed corn—are so good. The atmosphere is casual and friendly, and the staff always makes you feel welcome. It’s the perfect spot for authentic, no-fuss Texas barbecue.

First time trying Texas BBQ and it did not disappoint. The brisket was juicy, tender and smoky. The pork ribs were mostly juicy with some of the thicker meats being a bit dry and not very much smokiness, but still good overall. My father in law enjoyed the turkey sandwich and my mother in law said that the chicken was nice and juicy. The BBQ baked beans had no BBQ in it so it was savory and not sweet, but still pretty good. The cream of corn also was not sweet at all, but also still pretty good. The restaurant was clean with a backyard type of ambience. Counter service was good, but lacked the country style warmth.

I ordered a group meal from here for our game night on 6/15 to be ready for pick up around 5pm. The food was ready when we arrived, and was still at preferred temperatures when we got it back home. The pulled pork and moist brisket were juicy and packed full of flavor. All of the sides were delicious and had us going back for more, and I was surprised to see that they gave us an entire loaf of bread and a whole bottle of barbecue sauce! Everyone enjoyed the meal and had a great time.

Sweet tea was on edge of spoiling at 10AM. (Urn not cleaned well overnight?) Potatoes tasted boiled, not roasted, and there’s no pico (unlike yummy Austin locations). Salsa had weak impact on taste. Service was great tho!

We love this place. They have everything you can think of from chicken to beef ribs, turkey and brisket. And all the sides to go with it. Including some good old fashioned banana pudding. Plus all the drinks. Alcohol and non alcohol. So if you are craving some good BBQ with good taters stop here they are right off the loop central to West not sure which actually but give them a try and if you like it let me know. ENJOY!!!!!

I visited Rudy’s yesterday with my family while in Lubbock to tour Texas Tech. I called some friends and asked what was a good place to eat. Since Evie Maes was closed they suggested Rudy’s, and I’m glad we went. The food was delicious! The person that helped us make decisions was Devonte and boy he let us sample the turkey and the brisket! It was so tender and the flavor was so good. We ordered ribs, brisket, sausage, the beans and God everything was on point! Devonte Thank you for offering excellent customer service ! To everyone at this establishment Thank you for offering a great experience.
