It was the 1st really cold day of the year and I couldn’t think of anything better than to have some caldo de rez for lunch. Cuquita’s has some bomb tacos so I knew I couldn’t go wrong by trying their caldo. It was steaming hot and it warmed up my soul. Big pieces of potatoes, carrots and other veggies. They give you a side of rice that I always dump into my bowl to make it heartier. Big pieces of bone in beef filled me up to my content. $12.75 for the caldo and $4 for the tasty agua de Jamaica. If you’re cold, do yourself a favor and stop by for a caldo.

I ordered the chili relleno with beef and flautas plate, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to eat it since I had to leave unexpectedly. I still paid the $48.00 for the meal(that’s with a tip). I gave them 3 stars for the presentation since I had to mark something.

First time coming to the restaurant, the tortillas are home made and delicious. The food was okay, flavor was not at its best. I order a Gordita and it was so greasy. The beef for my tacos was over cooked. Bistro ranchero was good and rice and beans were okay too.
I would go again and give it a second try to see how it goes.

This place is a gem. The tortillas are made fresh in house, both corn and flour. My favorites are the pozole rojo and the costillas en salsa verde. The service is always perfect and even though it’s an older building..the place is spotless. Including the restrooms.

Staff here is super friendly. You get fresh handmade tortillas right off the bat and they’re so delicious!
All their dishes are good but my favorite is their enchiladas or Milanesa de res. Their pork in green sauce is also a wonderful choice! And it you want something simple, gorditas are the way to go
