Rava dosa had burnt taste all over, not the tandoor taste but actual burnt taste. The sambar was straight water, guaranteed they mixed some instant sambar powder with water nothing more.
Shame on them to have the word ‘Indian’ with their restaurant name.
Like seriously how can they even serve this pathetic food.
Saw the reviews later and still don’t understand how they have a 4.0 rating still.
Dosa was just okay, and the sambar was extremely watery (photos attached).
Naan and paneer butter masala were not good at all.
My friend had the buffet and he was totally disappointed too.
Not worth the money.
Idli , vada combo is really yummy!
Madras dinner thali comes with nicely packed array of dishes -curries, dal, rasam, curd, pickle, chapati & rice. Price & quantity is very reasonable.
Must try for delicious, clean home cooked food.
I also bought a box of mixture that had a long hair inside, which made me very concerned about hygiene and food safety. On top of that, when I asked for Laddu, the lady packed it with her bare hands, no gloves at all.
Overall, the food was not tasty, the hygiene practices were concerning, and nothing about the experience impressed me. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and I will not be returning.
Worst dining experience ever at Rudras. We took four buffet plates and an idly-vada combo, only to be met with terrible service and subpar food. The lady at the front (probably the owner) acted like she owned us, constantly staring and making us feel uncomfortable. If looks could kill, we wouldn’t have made it out.
Things got even worse when one of us took a tiny bite for tasting, and she rudely snapped, “Buffet cannot be shared.” Excuse me? We each had our own plates and know basic dining etiquette. Maybe instead of policing customers, she should focus on fixing the awful food and hygiene issues.
Speaking of food—absolute disaster. Barely any variety, stale taste, and not even worth half the price. One of the curries was spoiled, and to top it off, the plates weren’t even properly washed! And yet, she had the audacity to complain about someone “wasting rice.” If the food is bad, we’re not obligated to force it down.
Rude, unprofessional, and utterly disappointing. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place at all costs
Really enjoyed it
Had samosas chat and onion pakora was fresh.
Then we ordered masala tea and coconut burfi.
Coconut burfi was excellent and perfect.
There was a lady Geetha who was owner I am assuming.
She wore a beautiful sari and was very respectful. Greeted was with pranayama.
