We entered the establishment and was seated pretty quickly, but they had a good crowd. Once we were seated we were asked by the hostess to split our table and that the server would be right with us! Once they seated the couple beside us the server went to them to take their order. At this point I realized that she was our server and had gone to them first! As I looked around I also noticed that we were the only people of color in the restaurant! The hostess seated another couple and said she would get our drinks and I said nevermind!
At this point I was ready to leave so we left! I called back to speak to the manager but was told that the manager was too busy to speak with me but they would take my name and number and call me back. I declined!
Well they won’t have to worry about getting my money again or anyone that I know!
The food was solid. They had daily specials which were actually limited time options, which was cool. I got the shrimp quesadilla special with mango salsa and The Husband got the BBQ & Bacon mushroom swiss burger with fries. It wasn’t the best food I ever had, but not the worst either. It’s not anything I’ll be thinking about for a long time or craving later.
I also got the Apple Cider Margarita, which was okay. It was cute enough but tasted like apple juice with tequila, so that was a little disappointing. It sounded better on the menu and I wish I’d saved that $15.
Pricing wise, it’s what I’d consider average for 2025 — which is low-key expensive. Everything is priced at $13 or higher. So, expect to spend at least $40 for two people.
The service was excellent though. Dannie (I think that’s how you spell her name?) was attentive without being overbearing. It was a very chill experience and one I’d recommend of you’re in the area and want some where chill to sit down and have a meal.
Overall: 3.5/5 ⭐⭐⭐.5
When I think upscale, the interior is definitely modern, but could use a few touches such as salt and pepper shakers on the table, and some tea candles perhaps. The food presentation was good, but everything I tasted lacked flavor. The redeeming quality was the glaze on the salmon that I had, it had some flavor. It’s also possible we just came on an off night. I’d be willing to try this place again, there’s lots of potential with the food.
We also ordered the lamb lollipops. They were grey and slimy. The lamb was sour like it was soaking in vinegar and had almost a fermented taste. They looked boiled and the fat on the lamb was not cooked which made it hard and tough to chew. We have had lamb many times and came here because the lamb looked so good on their website. It was just gross.
The highlight of the meal was the wedge salad it was very good. But unfortunately we will not be coming back.
Very friendly and knowledgeable waitress, made some good suggestions, very attentive.
A nice woman with a green plastic chain for a necklace came over to help with pairing wine with our meal. Not sure if she was the manager or owner, but she did a great job recommending a pinot called Six Degrees. It was excellent.
We had a nice appetizer the waitress suggested called the Trio. It was excellent.
I had the Wedge salad with salmon, also excellent. I would recommend all of the choices from this evening. Reasonably priced, clean, spacious. Indoor and outdoor seating options and a full bar.
I certainly look forward to returning.
