This South Asian restaurant is located on the first floor of a building that houses several restaurants, including (right next door) an outlet of Lha Kitchen. Rude Chef specializes in food from South East Asia, and though some of it (Thai green curry, for instance) is identifiably a specific dish, many of the others on the menu sounded to me like riffs on the flavours of the region, possibly fusion dishes?
We ordered two appetisers: a crunchy prawns (with two dips; one a kewpie mayo and the other a faintly spicy one with a flavour of green chillies) and a crispy calamari. We followed this up with two main courses: ageing pork curry (surprisingly, the pork came in a long thick slab sitting in the curry) and assorted mushrooms, both served with a side of rice.
The food was uniformly good. The home-brewed black sticky rice kombucha was also excellent, with an interesting aftertaste of the rice from which it was made. Service was adequate, and the ambience of the place was very pleasant. Definitely recommended.

Went to the Roof in Humayunpur, ordered the Prawns and crispy calamari. Both were tasty and well prepared. The presentation was good too of the prawn dish.

The restaurant location is not near metro but atmosphere, service and most important food was too good we ordered chef’s sea food platter meal medium and we got crab, shell, octopus with jasmine sticky rice and it turned out so delicious. So whenever I wanna try a sea food I’m gonna say I know a spot.

This is the best you can get in Delhi. Buff Bao Burger is amazing. You can not get a juicier and flavorful patty, in between the softest bun ever. This one shouldn’t be missed. And what can I say about the Buff Salad. Packed with flavors in such a thin slice, this is art and flavor coming together in the best way man can ever do. Personally the highlight of the menu is the Tenderloin Steak. Have it rare, it is a must. You will get to taste flavors you can never imagine existed in a piece of meat. If you are looking for a place to eat food in Delhi that is light on the pocket, has the quality of a Michelin starred restaurant, vibe of a home…think of nothing else but Rude Chef.

A perfect date spot if you and your partner love seafood!! I ordered the rude prawn curry and it was so different from the usual curries you’d get in delhi. Forgot to take a picture of the crabs here, they were beautiful and delicious. They usually have an in house rice wine which was out of stock this time around.

The food quality, design of dishes, and taste are next level… way beyond the ordinary… and beyond most 5 Star hotel restaurants.
I travel all over the world and the last two times I had food so well prepared was in Lebanon in 2021 and South Africa in 2014. The ingredients are carefully selected and although they may not be perfect the way the chef has managed these into a well designed dish with excellently balanced flavours is impressive.
Don’t be deceived by the small menu and the cafe like ambience. This kitchen is punching way beyond its dining room’s appearance.
Nice service, pricey for the type of venue but well worth the quality of food. I would much rather sacrifice a fancy or trendy ambience for a far superior food preparation.
Over several meals i tried and enjoyed very much the trout, the buff steak and the Belgium Pork Belly. The papya salad was the best I have had outside of Thailand. The homemade black rice kumbucha is delicious and punchy!

The best in town, and perhaps the only place in town, for decent and superb buff dishes (steak and buff sashimi) in Delhi, India. It offers not just taste and presentation of the food, but also a reasonable price.

This place is absolutely fantastic, great food, small menu and great ambiance. It is truly a hidden gem in Humayunpur and the service is friendly and the food appears very quickly to your table. I have tried their buff skewers and Rude chef prawn curry last time which were good , this time I had a tenderloin salad which was superlative, I did also try the raw papaya salad but it was not as spicy as the original thai one.
