Food was delicious! I was skeptical after reading mixed reviews but decided to try it anyway—and I’m glad I did. I went with my 80-year-old grandma who wanted some good soul food, and she loved it. She had jerk pork chops, yams, baked mac and cheese, and dressing with gravy—all delicious. I had fried chicken, yams, and mac and cheese, which were equally good. The cornbread muffin and hot sauce were great touches.
We were the only ones dining in, and the owner even played Johnnie Taylor for my grandma while she ate. Staff gets a 10/10. Check out the photos and give them a try!

Service was very attentive. The food was delicious Well seasoned . We couldn’t stop eating. This restaurant is a must try Ruby’s soul feed us very well all the way to dessert .We will be back.

I was disappointed today, I ordered the smothered pork chop and the chop steak. The chop steak was just a steak burger and they cooked my pork chop in the same grease as the catfish. It tasted just like catfish and it was tough. I couldn’t even eat the pork chop, the sides and peach cobbler was good. My last complaint the guy who makes the plates need to know everytime he touches anything other than food he needs to change his gloves. You can’t touch the counters n then pack plates with the sands gloves. Teach your workers about sanitation. 60 dollars on food and I was very unsatisfied. I gave my pork chops to my dogs.

When we walked, it was a graduation party. The waitress greeted us, and she was so nice. We asked her what was good, and we ordered it. The food was so good I wanted 2nds. I will he back again, oh, and the bathroom was clean, y’all know how I am.
Update: I love this restaurant and brag to others, but this time, thumbs down . I brought a friend for our birthday. There was no water(Sam’s Club was not far). We got our food, but so many other people came that they left. They had no chicken, no water, and no candy yams. It’s the weekend and you have no food. The cashier acted like she did not want to be there. Disappointed 3 stars.

Bland high priced soul food. Stopped to get some sides that would be easy for my mom to swallow but walking in it smells like a toilet backed up in there. Waited over 15mins just for sides that more than likely were already cooked. Nice looking place but smells bad and no parking. For just 4 sides it was $23.89. Not worth it in my opinion but it’s what my mom wanted. Gonna find elsewhere next time she’s craving some decent soul food.

Came here for a birthday brunch and the place was lit on a Sunday afternoon. Music jamming, drinks on point, crowd grown and the vibe was great. Had a chance to order some food got the chicken tips with Mac and cheese, greens and honey cornbread. Everything was delicious. Chicken tips were meaty and tender. It paired good over the rice given and the bbq sauce was sweet with a little tang just how I like it. The Mac and cheese was cheesy seasoned good and the greens were a little spicy yet good. Overall I would definitely go back and just to enjoy the energy.

My dear friend told me about Ruby’s. How their chicken tips taste so good and tender.
So, today, I came through to order jerk chicken tip meal with mac n cheese and greens with a corn muffin.
The chicken is super tender, and even tho it comes with jerk sauce, which I would never put it on my meal. I love the way the chicken tastes without the sauce.
The Mac n cheese is delicious, and them greens are tasty. The corn muffin is not my fave, but it went with the meal.
Overall, this food is Super Delicious! Me and hubby will come together next time to dine in. Please, I encourage everyone to come visit Ruby’s!

The new location in Riverdale is nice, modern and cozy. The food was very good. The mac n cheese and greens could use a tad bit more seasoning. The mac was nice and creamy and the turkey wing was flavorful and tender. The yams were perfect. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu.
