First time there the atmosphere was wonderful. The food i order was too spicy I couldn’t eat it, I order a side of queso it had smell to it like it wasn’t fresh. We ask our waitress for some napkins she told us no the owner do not allow napkins on the table. But another waitress took some to other table.

I was excited to hear about this Ruby’s location opening in Longview. I’ve been to the Tyler location a few times and was never disappointed but I was highly disappointed with my visit here.
Starting with the pros:
Atmosphere: it gives garden style vibes with lots of cute photo ops. They also have a ring light stand for selfies which is pretty neat.
Service: with this place being fairly new, I know they’re still trying to figure things out. The service could have been better but also noticed the other surrounding tables were having the same issue with the service.
Food: we ordered the birria plate, Lupe plate (which was missing an item) and the sopes. All of our food came out at a decent time except for the sopes. The rest of the table had already almost finished their food but we were still waiting for sopes. I asked our waitress for it and she said someone had accidentally gave it to another table. I asked for her to go ahead and take it off the ticket and she did and also gave us free churros.
I was disappointed with our visit and I hope they can improve.

Authentic and delicious traditional Mexican food! We visited three days in a row after discovering it. Great chips, standout salsas and guacamole! My personal favorite are the al pastor tacos doblados and sopes, my husband loves the potato tacos, enchiladas, and chicken.
The ambiance is family friendly, relaxed, warm and inviting. The service is fast and friendly; very nice staff. The restaurant and bathrooms are clean. They often have an excellent live music act – a very talented young man by the name of J.J. McLane singing classic country.
We love this place and it’s impossible you won’t! Go, try it, pronto!

Maybe Sundays aren’t the best days to go here. My experience wasn’t horrible, but could have been another story if things had been different.
We went and there was a large after church group. Our waitress had the big table plus a few others. It was basically a full house.
Wife ordered the Agua Fresca and I the standard sweet tea. I can appreciate the tea wasn’t diabetes in a glass.
The Agua Fresca was the hot item.
Chips and green sauce were brought out. The green sauce was served in cups that were too small and was watered down.
We ordered the sampler plate. The guacamole was decent but both cheeses were dark flavor wise. It improved a bit as they cooled.
Wife ordered the chicken burrito which was good. I didn’t really get into her dish because, issues.
I ordered the loaded nachos. They looked really good but, was not a good choice. Nachos are normally a safe option when nothing sounds really good. There was no cheese. The chicken was bland, overcooked and under seasoned. Kim tried it and immediately “that’s not good”. I dug around a bit trying to find a bright side but ultimately decided it wasn’t for me. I let our waitress know that I wanted to speak to a manager. During our conversation, I did not like the facial expressions when I explained what I felt about the food. The manager explained that this wasn’t tex mex and asked if I wanted anything to replace it and I said no. We had been there for an hour and a half at this point. I wanted it to be removed and move on.
The nachos were removed, I paid and made sure to tip.
At the closing of this encounter, I’m good with trying again another day maybe when it’s less hectic.

Went for lunch with my best friend and wanted to try this new location, im coming back in 2 weeks when their alcohol is ready to go in the restaurant (I did ask about it, that’s their time frame) The food is as good as it looks, smells as good as it tastes, everything was fresh from the guac w flautas appetizer, to the delicious fajita combo I got. It gets busy which is to be expected, everyone is friendly and attentive, great atmosphere. This is my go to location now in Longview.

Honest review, no fluff. Great atmosphere and Tio Beto was super nice when he took our order…but that was the 1st and last time he came to our table. No refills, no ticket, no nothing. I went to the front to pay and mentioned it to the girl at the register and she said that “he does that sometimes” like it’s okay. The food was okay. I hear people getting 2 salsas with their chips, we got 1oz small souffle cups of some type of green sauce. I ordered a #6, enchiladas and chicken leg was good but my 2 tacos were filled with nothing but cabbage and cheese. Didn’t finish since I never got a refill. Our taco Tuesday was disappointing.

We went around 1pm and it was not very busy. We were very excited to try Ruby’s in Longview. We were sat quickly after our greet. It took our server longer than it should’ve to greet us and get us drinks. Once we ordered we didn’t really see her much. We did not get refills on drinks and chips for about 10 mins. I peeked around the corner and she was standing at the host stand. Throughout the time there we had to wait for anything we asked her for. She never put the dessert in on time so we had to wait even longer. Then she asked how we were paying but we had asked for our check and that never came either. Just wish the service would’ve been better. Now for the food it was very good. The accuracy of what we ordered was right on. Food came out looking great and hot. We were very pleased with the food across the board. Overall we would like give the service another shot simply since the food was great!
