Don’t get me wrong, the ice cream here is amazing and I’ve been coming here since I was a kid. Always loved this place. However, this summer the service has been unbelievably awful. I was point blank lied to by Tiera when confirming what was in the shake I ordered. I clearly saw her coworker shake his head no to her when I asked if my shake had espresso in it and she turned to me and said “yes it does”. Mistakes happen, I totally get it and it’s not that big of a deal. I work in customer service too but when I make a mistake I don’t lie to my customers about it, I admit it and make amends. Instead I received blatant attitude from Tiera as she rolled her eyes at me asking to see if I’d been charged for the espresso since it didn’t end up in the shake. I wasn’t charged so all was well and good.

I used to come here as a kid and I’m so happy to see the recipes have stayed the same, they’ve moved locations a few times but have stayed the same great company. Lovely little mom and pop shop right off the highway for a quick cool treat.

Great Ice Cream Parlor , the girl working there was very friendly and helpful. We were on our way home to Jefferson City from the State Park and say Rubys and stopped in. There were quite a few of us so we wanted to thank the hirl working there cause we couldn’t decide which flavors we wanted, so Thank You !!! Very good ice cream !!!

Very friendly and fast service with a wide range of unexpected and fun flavors! The texture was super delicious. My only gripe is that it was awfully expensive. $16 for two scoops in a small cone and then two scoops in a bowl. The vanilla ice cream could have used a bit more vanilla. But very fresh and truly homemade. I’d give a 4.5 star if I could!

Ruby’s Ice Cream has been a long time favorite! Their ice cream is homemade, super creamy, and so much amazing flavor! The waffle cones are also all homemade and so tasty! I love stopping by for a cone any time I’m in St. James and I loved seeing the little trailer at the Phelps County Fair this year!
