We got there not too long before this location was going to close but at no point did we feel rushed and I appreciate that. We were able to sit and enjoy our food. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic. We were there for a birthday brunch and everyone was so nice. I honestly didn’t expect them to sing happy birthday to my friend but they did and it was sweet. I appreciate the mocktails options as I don’t drink and I’m not a soda or juice fan. Also, the portions are enough for two people. My friends and I just shared all of our food. I would definitely recommend this location.

For breakfast, we decided to check out Ruby Slipper Cafe after seeing so many great reviews. When we arrived, there was a huge line — and that’s when we realized we had made a mistake by not reserving ahead of time. We simply didn’t expect it to be that busy.
Thankfully, the host was very polite and welcoming, and we were seated fairly quickly at the bar, which actually turned out to be a great, atmospheric spot with a lively brunch vibe.
Our server was incredibly positive and cheerful, and she helped us choose our dishes. My wife ordered green tea, which came in a large mug, and I had a coffee. On her recommendation, we tried the Sweet Heat Chicken and French Toast Bites — and they were absolutely delicious. I actually ordered them after seeing how amazing they looked at a neighboring table.
Everything came out quickly, and the food was fantastic. We don’t drink alcohol, but I noticed they offer a wide variety of creative local cocktails that looked very popular.
Overall, it’s a very cool place with a great vibe. Definitely recommend it for breakfast in New Orleans.

Ruby Slipper is a FANTASTIC brunch spot! Great location close to the French Quarter, food was unbelievably delicious, and amazing service. Jaraud was an attentive server who brought our food out fast and even offered me a Diet Coke to go when we were leaving. Definitely come here!

Very nice place for Breakfast and lunch. We visited New Orleans and this was a very good place to stop at. The coffee tasted so fresh. I really enjoyed the hot honey chicken biscuit! Messy but worth it! We all left full and happy. Everything was very clean. The server was very nice and he kept our drinks full and tables cleaned. The food was hot and ready pretty fast. The music was appropriate for all ages. It was a nice place. Thanks! ❤️ Be blessed.

This review is based on my experience on March 4. Very friendly staff. Waiter was great … we bonded talking about his 1 year old. It went down hill from there. My companion ordered a pancake dish … I ordered the eggs Benedict hash. Her meal came out hit and she enjoyed it. Mine … cold. Cold hollandaise taste repugnant. Potatoes were cold and soft. Shame … it looked great, but tasted like crap. Can’t recommend restaurant. Share. Wait staff were top notch and very friendly. Kitchen staff needs to learn how to properly prepare food, or keep better track ot their expediting process and actually take the time to prepare orders in the right manner to ensure hot food is delivered to the table at the same time. Would have been a zero star rating, but Wait staff deserves some props.

Nice place! Really friendly and prompt service at the bar. Food was good, though the raw spinach garnish was a bit wilted and I felt like it got a bit trampled by the rest of the dish and didn’t really have its own place. The fried chicken was really nice and juicy and the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. Overall I think it was a good meal and a nice place to dip in for brunch in the city.

What an amazing place for brunch. Judit was our server and she was amazing. I am Celiac and have to eat gluten free. Judit had the chef come out to meet me and discuss what I could eat. Don’t order the tator tots!!!
I can’t say enough about how much Judit and the chef cared about my health.
The rest of our group ate the Trifecta!!! Great food all around. But most of all, fantastic service.

I’m not a breakfast person but my sister is so we went their for breakfast. I got the chicken and waffles and they were really good. Made with a thigh. Really juicy. My sister got the shrimp and grits really liked them. But the biscuit she absolutely loved and still hasnt stopped talking about it since we got back home from California. It was so good she ordered a second and I tasted the second. So fluffy. It was amazing the service was great as well. Everyone was friendly from the chef to our server. If you get the chance you need to try this place!!!

Great brunch spot! Would recommend!
I had the vanilla spiced latte and the shrimp and grits. The latte was delicious and creamy, with the perfect sweetness and spice. The shrimp was amazing, so flavourful and super filling, and they were generous with the shrimp!
It came with a biscuit that was fluffy and perfectly baked, and this fantastic butter, smooth, creamy, and a hint of sweetness. Whatever you order, make sure to get a biscuit too!
The service was good too, they sat me at the bar and has this cute French cartoon playing at a low volume on the tv. There were a few people around chatting, it was a super chill solo brunch, the perfect start to my day. All in, it was $30

We loved our meal and the amazing service by Nandi! Everyone was very attentive and kind. Nandi gave us wonderful recommendations and clearly knew the menu well. The food was delicious, reasonably priced and good portions. We had the bread pudding pancakes which were like a mix between French toast and pancakes and were very indulgent. The biscuits and gravy were delicious and the hot honey fried chicken was the perfect balance of heat and sweet. The fried green tomatoes were also great! Would highly recommend!
