Reading past reviews is confusing because our service was wonderful! It was a busy night after finishing an escape room and there was a short wait but it was worth it. We were seated by the bar, it was clean and private but a little cramped. Our server brought our drinks and gave us refills unprompted and she checked on us many times! The prices were what helped us come in and will be back! The bacon wrapped steak was cooked perfect but the larger 11oz portion was still pretty small and broccoli was buttery but the potatoes were kind of bland. I also got to try my bf raspberry chicken and it was also juicy tender and wonderful. Food was so good we forgot to take pictures lol! We definitely will be back!

We sat at the bar. Bar could have been cleaner. Wasn’t busy. I had prime rib with baked potato and French onion soup. Prime was very good and so was the soup. The inside of the baked potato was good but the exterior skin was very different. It almost appeared fried. My friend said the same.

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS FOOD. No exaggeration at all, the food was orgasmic…I ordered the garlic peppered ribeye with a Cesar salad and a baked potato. No kidding, the best steak I’ve had in my entire life and this is not fake. This is a 100% real review. Not to mention, they bring you freshly baked bread that’s still hot out of the oven. And, the plates are 1600°! I’ve never been to such a nice restaurant before Where I had zero complaints and everything about it was delicious and you could tell it was good quality steak as well. I am so glad I tried this place tonight. I will definitely be back sometime soon.

4th visit and is my go to in reno when i want a steak. Everything was super awesome plus i came in 30min before they closed and got great service, no rush and attentive.
3rd visit here, everything was top notch but waiter forgot our desert request this time. Ordered the bacon burger, smothered chicken and steak, 9oz sirloin w mushrooms n caesar salad, New York strip steak w broccoli n mushrooms. Left full and everything tasted great.

Ruby River is a classic American restaurant. The dining room was large with decent decorations and service was excellent. The bar also looked good. WiFi was not available.
There were many authentic American dishes in the menu. Their free bread was decent with butter. I ordered their signature 6oz sirloin steak. It was well-grilled with sizzling cream, but it tasted a little old at medium temperature. Mashed potatoes tasted good. The price was a little high. The food was not bad, but I was expecting more at this price.

We ate there last night for the first time. The food and atmosphere were excellent (Halibut, Steak kabobs, and cobbler). What stood out to us was the positive energy from all the staff. The seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. True of all the staff we observed, and particularly our server Braden.

I come here whenever I stay at the Peppermill. I have never had a bad experience. Portions are generous, food tastes good and is ready quick, and prices are very reasonable. The fresh bread is great.
