California bowl with carnitas was tasty and two out of the three tacos were good, blackened fish taco was terrible and the order of chips and guacamole came with about 10 chips, the bag was less than half full, what a rip off!!!

My husband and I have been enjoying Rubio’s since we lived in San Diego in the 1990s. It continues to be one of our favorite places on our regular rotation. The only complaint is that there always seems to be a lot of staff turnover, which affects consistency. We feel like we have to train the newbies ourselves sometimes. Haha!

What used to be our favorite spot has gone downhill. Prices are way up, carry out orders always seem to be missing at least 1 item, the cheese in the quesadilla sticks to the bottom of the paper carryout container so you eat paper along with your quesadilla, and the burritos are wrapped loosely in foil that is too small so they spill out into the too-small bag then Into your car during the drive home.
