I am a frequent visitor of this location of Rubio’s!! I have been to others and unfortunately I really didn’t like the service. The service at the Kearney Mesa Rubio’s is superb. The manager, assistant manager, front cashier/servers and the kitchen staff are all very nice and friendly. Everyone waves when I come in, even the kitchen staff. This is the only Rubio’s in San Diego for me!! Awesome food, staff and atmosphere!! Thank you so much for the great service and hospitality!!

What a great experience the store was very clean the staff was super friendly and helpful they made sure I got exactly what I was craving for my snack before the long drive home after work the ingredients were very fresh and tasted very great. Expectations met! I will definitely be back while I’m in the area, and I would suggest stopping by.

Rubio’s on Clairemont Mesa Blvd in San Diego had some standout flavors. The rainbow shrimp salad and tacos had a delicious pineapple twist in the sauce that really worked. The chicken soup was well balanced and the shrimp tacos hit the mark. Friendly service too.

The staff and manager are always a treat to deal with. Even when things are busy, they don’t seem to get phased. Sometimes I wish the portions were a bit bigger, but I will say the quality of the food is better than most other Mexican spots. Though this style of Mexican is a bit different from what you might like, if you like those “hole in the wall” type places.

On a quest to rank San Diego’s California Burritos! Tenth stop: Rubio’s Coastal Grill. Product: Burrito with crispy potatoes and marinated meat, though some pieces were dry and overcooked. I got chips with the burrito, which was a nice surprise. The wait was short, but the burrito was smaller than expected—I didn’t feel full. Plenty of sauce options. I paid $14, which is a bit higher than average. 7 out of 10 Service: Friendly staff, answered my questions with smiles. 8 out of 10 Atmosphere: Clean and stylish, but the vibe felt unclear. 7 out of 10

The staff were very helpful and nice. I had a question about the app and they helped me, unlike other fast food who always says they don’t know how to use the app. I actually ordered something that ive never had there before and it was delicious (aside taco and shrimp taco). I’ve always loved your pinto beans but I think you’ve changed the recipe. They aren’t as peppery as they used to be and that was one of the things I loved about them. Its okay though, I added pepper and salsa. I suppose not everyone likes as much black pepper as I like. Staff thanked me for coming in and kept the dining room clean as guests left. Good job to them!

I can always count on my neighborhood Rubio’s to serve fresh, made-to-order food in a timely manner. This location is always active, but the staff is friendly, the food is awesome, and the building is clean and well kept. I try to get in there 2-3 times a month for the lunch special, it’s a bargain!

Braullio, the manager runs a tight ship. The food is always excellent. The restaurant is always clean. The staff are all smiling and respectful. Braullio serves those who are eating in. He knows almost everyone and delivers each order with a smile. I eat at different Rubios around town but his store is the best!
