Rubio’s always gets it right! The chicken quesadilla, taco, and salsa were spot on, as always. The portions are a bit less at times (less chicken in the taco, guacamole, sour cream, etc.) but it’s still worth it.

I am a fan of the Grilled Chicken Gourmet Tacos, The Original Fish Tacos. Stepped out today and tried the Californina Burrito from Rubios, unfortunately there’s nothing special about the burrito. I am going to leave a four star because their chips always taste stale or from yesterday’s batch, If I am being served a side of chips they gotta taste better.

Normally I really like Rubios but this store is one of the worst maintained that I’ve visited. First, they were out of pinto beans. Most of their burritos have pinto bean so that ellininates a large number of their dishes.

Haven’t been to Rubio’s in several years. Their menu has changed and the prices reflect it. But, the selections all look really enticing and I plan on going back a lot to sample them. On this visit, I went with the classic Fish Taco Especial plate with black beans and citrus rice, and it was superb. The ambience is a bit sterile, and our cashier was robotic and unenthused, but since we got our order to go, it didn’t really matter.
