The restaurant was very clean. Salsa bar clean and filled. Bathroom tidy. The cashier was excellent, personable and friendly. Food was as expected. Delicious. I am a long time patron, was there on day one in Mission Bay. Seriously, day 1. Good job! Thank you.

I came here for lunch with my dad. I got a Mercado salad with mahi and he got a grilled fish burrito with mahi. Once he got a bite of the rice he told me that it was too hard. I looked and saw burned rice. I showed this to the cashier. Instead of a new burrito, because the whole batch has burned rice, I asked if my dad could also get a Mercado salad with mahi instead. They said they would make it. Then they sent their cashier for the price difference of $1. I had to get a refund for the grilled fish burrito and then charge again for the Mercado salad. A ridiculous transaction for just a dollar when they were serving burned rice. I wish I had gotten a photo of the burned rice but I didn’t think that they would make such a big stink over a dollar.

Miles , Mauricico and Ruben are truly great employees. I had a discrepancy and they handled it with class and truly made me feel like they cared . Excellent service In these days is hard to come by but they truly showed it on January 5th! Thank you staff at Rubio’s and especially those 3 employees I named specifically. Since the last time I was in, things like food quantity and quality have improved. The salad was well dispatched and delicious. The chicken was fresh and warm. Only thing, the facilities like the bench upholstery is getting worn and torn, do some updates and fixes.

Found PASTIC WRAPPING IN my FOOD, when confronted the store manager aboutit he asked if I took pictures and once I said no he took my bowl and threw it away. I said I need it for evidence and he said no you don’t get any and walked away…too bad I got some anyways.

If you have any issues take pictures BEFORE YOU SHOW UP THEY HIDE EVERYTHING

Over the years order from this place we had issues with hair, other food wrapping and now this and never did we complain. Now after getting belittled by the manager this is no longer acceptable.

Quality of this place has been going down immensely for years. Portions are insanely small for the price, they used to be better and larger. Service is terrible and they are all rude even if they make a mistake and you ask them to fix it. I’ve worked food service for years and they are extremely rude and dont have any customer service at all. Most importantly, this location ALWAYS gets something wrong with your order, I completely understand things get busy and you can’t do everything right, but its EVERY SINGLE TIME. You can go over everything with them and they will just say yes to get you out of there as fast as possible. Extremely disappointing 🙁

We come here quite often and dine in. Dine in customers had to wait 5 plus minutes to order with the line growing while all four people packed to go orders. Get our food… all over fried battered butchered fish! It’s a bummer because this location used to be very consistent. Not so much anymore
