The street tacos are just ok. Nothing special about the place. $3 a taco is high for what you get. The salsa is not that great and the meat seemed to be reheated and a little crispy but if you’re looking for some quick tacos and you’re just going to inhale them on lunch break, these will do. Be aware they charged me $1 just to pay with card.

This is a down and dirty fantastic taco spot. Are used to come here a lot when it was much smaller and there was a little bar that I would sit out and watch them cook and I like that much better but good for them that they’ve expanded.
I’m sure all of their stuff is great but I only ever order the tacos because they are so damn good.
One of my favorite things two is the Chili and Salsa. I love love the really hot red sauce and the green sauce is good and the sauce that comes with the chips .
My chips were terrible today, but I just chalked it up to a whatever moment.
It is one of those places though that I’m like reluctant to touch the refrigerator getting my coke out because it was sticky and kind of gross and the door glass was dirty and gross and the handles so I feel like they could do a little bit of cleaning and scrubbing. Wow!!! I mean delicious, the flavor is outstanding! The portions are huge. This is our first time here and it definitely won’t be our last. Ordered the carne asada super nachos, carne asada quesadilla, chicken wet burrito. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu! Thank you

Truthfully I will give it five stars. The food was fantastic. My wife ordered a chimichanga, and I ordered enchiladas. The burrito was huge and smothered with cheese, I think why most customers don’t order that holy cow. And the enchiladas came with rice, beans and salad w/ sour creme, and four, instead of two enchiladas. I was resigned at first because I’m used to enchiladas being smothered in red sauce. These ones were not, however when I took my first bite of them omg my taste buds were estatic. So tasteful it was. It is ineffable. Lol. They have a poor man there, however, he greets the customers and opens the door for you. I needed to use the bathroom and he told me it’s on the counter. Honestly that is why I give them a five star rating. I would definitely recommend the chimichanga. See attached

Food is decadent, very large portions. Horchata is really good. Sopes de asada was perfect. The meat is grilled to perfection. Unique taste. 1 spoe = 1 box. The taste was of the best ive had in southern california. Dining area was clean and spacious. Good spot for a business meeting.

I dont know what NAVI. S ( other reviewer ) is talking about.
I can say that I have driven by this place for 1 1/2 years & decided to get inside.
I went safe, ( Taste taste ) & ordered the three meats in Tacos and I had ZERO problems with what I tasted.
I returned two weeks later ordered a Carna Asda Burrito no Rice, Hottest Salsa they have put inside, YUP I had Flavor jumping All around.
I returned yet againnnnnnn
I said Nachos this time, Yup still Flavor Salas was on point, meat tender, chips solid enough to hold up for me to get back to the office @ 10 freeway & Vinyard.
Look I’m a African American Man that knows Mexican food better than a lot of Mexicans.
RUBEN’S is no TIJUANA Mexican joint ( I JUDGE ALL Mexican Restaurants to that standard) Not fair I known it.
However Rubens is doing to fine cooking, I see other Reviewers talk about the Brothers a while back,
I dont know anything about them, but would love to get down on what they were know for.
I’ll be happy when this Covid 19 is over sonI can start my 3 time per month back to Mexico for Food.
This Once per month is for the Birds.

Ruben’s Tacos has good food to offer like menudo, tortilla hechas a mano, posole tacos & sopes unfortunately the asada has too much oil. i ordered 1 asada taco with hand made tortillas… as a meat lover asada is #1 for me in any mexican joint but that taco could easily get invaded by the US government
