OH MY GOSH!!!! The cheese fries were so good. I got a BLT and a side salad. The Italian salad dressing was very good, I felt like Peter B. Parker in the ITSV restaurant scene, iykyk.

You got to look real hard to find this place after driving down a dirt road. The view is unbelievable you look out on a lake with trees growing up out of it. It’s worth it for the view alone

6 for lunch, on the patio, which was very nice. Pizza was pointed out as very good, but arrived under cooked. Very pleasant and prompt service. Patio was lovely, it was a humid day, but the breeze was excellent. Will go again

Unimpressive when you drive up, but the employees are really friendly. I tried the chicken wings. They would rival some of the wings in Buffalo. My wife had a patty melt and really liked it. Prices were very reasonable. We had a great view of the water and enjoyed the stop. We definitely try some of the other menu items on our next visit.

We ate out on the patio and had the most beautiful view. There were four of us and we had four different things, and everything was wonderful. My brother got the shrimp, he said they were delicious, and there were certainly plenty of them. My husband got the catfish sandwich and from the clean plate I’m guessing he loved it. I got a pizza, the crust was perfect. My sister got a chicken sandwich. She said it was very good. We will definitely go back.

Once again, the food was awesome! Went in for breakfast. I had an omelet while hubby opted for the Lakeside breakfast sandwich with a pancake on the side. Pancake looked so fluffy I had to sneak a couple bites of his.
They have changed the inside a bit also, adding some nice, comfortable chairs.

Seated immediately by a very pleasant server. Promptly took our drink orders and brought the drinks. Not sure if the air conditioner was working. Ordered cheese fries, then our meal. Cheese fries came out very hot, but the end of a lot of the fries were burnt. Meals delivered on a timely basis. Change in chicken nuggets. Not as good as previously served, but edible. Onion rings were cooked to perfection. I ate a third of the outside of the chili hamburger. The inside was a raw hamburger. Cold. The server replaced it with a new burger & discounted the burger. Wonderful view of the Chickahominy lake. . I’ll try again.

Nice dog friendly patio with beautiful views of the lake. Everyone was so friendly and we enjoyed our food. Hamburgers and Crab Cake Sandwich was great. Can highly recommend!

The food was great. The wife and I got the Lakeside Extreme pizza and wings in a classic buffalo sauce, and they were really good. I like a brick oven pizza more, personally, but I gotta say it was damn good, tasted great, and the wings were simple, but done to perfection. Another member of our party got the bang bang shrimp and raved so much about it, I was almost willing to risk deformity due to a shellfish allergy. My mother in law got the fried pork chops smothered in onions and gravy; loved it and still hasn’t shut up about it. According to her, it was the best she’s ever had.
The service was exceptional. Our server was a young guy with brown hair and a beard; (sorry guy- I know you told us, but I didn’t catch your name) Andre? Andrew maybe? I don’t know, but he and the girls working there were on point. He had a good, quick sense of humor, and was so patient, even answering all my mother in laws completely unnecessary questions about the menu when she already knew what she was going to get. The place was packed out, but those folks moved fast and efficiently. Our drinks never went empty, and the food came out quick and hot.
The atmosphere was really good too. In all honesty, the patio and views of the lake do a lot of the heavy lifting, but inside they have one of those TouchTunes jukeboxes, and I don’t know if it’s like this every evening, but while we were there, almost the entire room was singing along at one point, so I know we weren’t the only ones having a great time.
Final thought: I didn’t expect much going into this little diner in the woods next to a lake and a baitshop, but I was pleasantly surprised. Well done, folks! Thank you again and we’ll definitely be back.
