When you walk in you’re smacked with a divine Smokey scent that just makes you feel like you’re down south at a pit fire in the summer time. Dee. Lishhhhhh. Tender fall off the bone meats, yummy broccoli salad slaw… Folks that work there have always been kind when I’ve visited. The decor is simple but one should really be there for the food and scent from the kitchen. If it’s not fancy enough for you, just close your eyes and enjoy the flavors, you’ll care less about that. After all, it’s bbq. Enjoy!!!

I was passing through Center Harbor And popped in for lunch, and I am very happy that I did. I found a cute clean barbecue joint that served up excellent barbecue loaded with flavor and was juicy. I ordered the RBBBQ platter, which was more than enough for one person and could easily be split by two. High-quality brisket, rib juicy and tender with a nice bark. The kielbasa melted in your mouth and the pulled pork was great. Bonus is they had mustard barbecue sauce. Winning.

My husband & I visited this past weekend. We enjoyed ourselves at this quaint spot. The atmosphere & decor is really nice. The customer service is great as well. We shared a meal for two & added an extra side. We paid about $57 and were full! Our meal came with two sides, ribs & chicken. They have really good bbq sauce, one regular & another spicy. The sides were amazing (baked beans, Cole slaw, Mac & cheese, cornbread). My favorite was the baked beans! I’d go back just for that if I could! However, we were a bit disappointed with the meat. While it was tender & falling off the bone, it lacked flavor. The bbq sauce helped a bit. Overall, would recommend if you’re in the area.

Okay BBQ. We tried the ribs and brisket which were okay. Having the brisket with Mac seemed to help it. The pulled pork was good. They have spicy, sweet, and mustard BBQ sauces to choose from. The beans and broccoli salad were not very good.

Excellent barbecue, nice quaint place. Prices are reasonable. Great brisket, ribs, kielbasa and had a half chicken the other day too. Broccoli salad is a 10.

I got two items to go: service was excellent. Clean place with a few tables. 1/2# beef brisket and one slice carrot cake. The brisket – two slices – is very tasty and peppery, but had a lot of fat. Fortunately, I could trim off the fat. Two small lunches for me; $24.99/#. The carrot cake is good, heavy cake, no raisins (yay!l) and walnuts either only on the outside edge. Frosting is whipped. Good sized serving for $5. Free parking. I’d return to try the pulled pork.

We did take out of various items and absolutely loved it all. Local gem whether you need a quick lunch or dinner or you need to feed the family or food for an event. A must stop if you’re in the area.

Well we got take out so im hoping thats why it was so sub par. Got a lb of pulled pork, side of tortellini salad and a lb the “famous” mac and cheese. The pulled pork was decent, pretty good for the price. Tortellini salad was good. The mac and cheese though, disappointing. The most bland mac and cheese I’ve tried and it looked old? Not sure what happened there. Overall okay for the price but might not try it again.

As a chef & former BBQ joint owner, I can verify that these guys are doing it RIGHT!!

I felt like I was tasting my own recipes and you can taste the love that was not only put into the meat, but the delectable sides as well. The broccoli salad had the tangy/crunchy/sweet that hits the spot. The Mac & Cheese was perfect…my daughter wants to drive back up just for more Mac…

We ordered the Dinner for 4 with Brisket and you get a little bit of everything (easily makes 2 days of meals). Came with extra sauces and high quality containers. I can’t say enough how they’ve thought of everything and just done it the right way.

We love the name, but this joint is so much more than just a catchy name. Drove up from Tilton to grab lunch, I would gladly drive across the state for Rubbin’ Butts BBQ again!

Haven’t been here in at least 6 months but used to frequently get food from here. The food has changed drastically and hoping the critiques can lead to improvement. People were great but I can’t eat this. Mac and cheese was very dry and smoked pastrami was like eating a salt block. Maybe it was just an off day but nothing like it used to be.
